The masthead of Folio Weekly purports itself a news and opinion magazine. Obviously the Tea & Little Sympathy article by Hal Crowther is the latter. Regretfully, it is also devoid of facts and filled with crass blather that surpasses the exact demagoguery he attributes to the Tea Party and its members. "Racist Right", steeped in ignorance and extremism, rabid, violent, irrational, mean segment of the middle class, knuckle-dragging, genetically challenged primates-in-pants, ignorant army, wisdom-proof and lethally repetitious...and so forth....sounds like insensitive juvenile taunting rather than the intellectual musings of a self-professed "elitist like me" (your own words). Then to opine that your cause is "the side of the angels"? For good measure, throw in Thomas Jefferson's name and that's great journalism!

Maybe Mr. Crowther should return to his editor's knee and learn the following: Research, collect data and facts, analyze that information, arrive at logical conclusions and state them in a professional and logical manner.

It is a fact that the 1964 Civil Rights Act would have not passed if the Democrats had been left to their own devices. It was Republicans that were the driving force in ensuring the passage of this act.

The arbitrary facts regarding the demographics of the Tea Party are totally unsubstantiated and strictly the author's opinion.

Mr. Crowther, how about addressing the issue of the substantial number of former Goldman Sachs employees that are now in key positions of influence within the current administration staff?

Mr. Crowther: I do not have a race problem, a logic problem nor a gun problem. I proudly served my country for 21 years so that citizens like you can express their opinion freely. However, I reserve the right to equally exercise that freedom myself.
