Letter to the Editor

So I got up this morning and see where a Mr. Dave Neal wrote a letter to the TImes Union concerning the Tea Party. He claims the Tea Partiers never complain about the military budget while always complaining about Social programs like Social Security and Medicare. I wonder if Dave has ever taken a look at the U.S. Constitution? It is required for Congress to set a budget for the military, nowhere does it state we have to fund Social Security or Medicare.

Seems to me Mr. Neal should understand we need to tackle programs that are bankrupting the future of this Country that are NOT mandated to be funded by our Constitution before we worry about programs such as our military that is required to be funded by our Constitution.

Any large organization can be reduced in most cases, that I will agree with you on. Your point on having troops scattered around the world while we are going bankrupt I might take issue with. I know the Ron Paul crowd (not saying you are one of them) would have no troops anywhere overseas. These people believe we were the cause of 9/11 by having troops overseas.
I personally don't believe the Tea Party has to be active in supporting where our troops are stationed at overseas. That is not the cause of our fiscal problems. If you on the otherhand personally believe that having troops overseas is not what our Country should be doing then by all means you have every right to express that opinion. I just don't believe that is something the Tea Party has to be that active getting into.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??
