To J.R.
What i find interesting is many people do not realize the house passed a budget over 44 days ago. It was the first bill they passed this year HR 1. The Senate, under Reid's leadership has been sitting and doing nothing about it for 44 days, the whole time blaming the GOP and Tea Party. Now we are down at the last week before the last Continuing Resolution expires.
IF Pelosi, Reid, Obama had America's best interest at heart, they would passed a budget by Sept 2010.
Steve, that is true. Although i think what drove the 2006 and 2008 elections was the war in Iraq. Funny if it was the deficit, it has gone from 8 Trillion in 2008 to almost 14 plus Trillion in just under 4 years so they are doing a really lousy job addressing that. Even the so called balance budget that Clinton passed was NOT balanced, it was projected by figures that did not account for 9/11 or the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Progressive Liberals are in both parties but mainly now in the Democratic party that they have literally destroyed.
The Progressive Liberals have done more damage to our economy, housing market, unemployment than the last 20 years of both parties since 2007.

There was also 5 billion dollars set aside for unions, GE, AT&T employees to retire early and to purchase separate Health Care policies to close the gap until they can qualify for Medicare.
Don't forget about the 105 plus billion dollars hidden deep in the Health Care bill in appropriations to start up the Health Care Bill that was not appropriated legally and without elected representatives knowledge about the hidden fund. And they took 500 billion dollars out of Medicare to jumpstart the program. Who is accounting for all of this money? They have created a fiscal nightmare.
Now NY Rep. Andy Weiner is asking for a waiver for NYC and he was the one of the biggest proponents of the Health Care bill! The last count i saw was over 1,090 waivers not to have to participate in the Health Care Reform Bill, have been given out by the White House, most of them were backers of the bills, big unions, GE, etc..
You can read the full report here: http://budget.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=203348
I think a tax over haul will greatly help also. Rep. Paul Ryan is rolling out the new budget this week. President Obama's budget that he has already presented will actually triple the debt, with all of his new "investments".
It will be interesting to look back on all of this ten, twenty years from now and see what the historians say, i hope and pray they get it right.
Democrats controlled both chambers of Congress the last two years of George W. Bush's presidency. They had the power to pass budgets that curtailed deficit spending. They chose not to do so because they wanted that issue to run on in 2008, They were also running against the military and continuing wars in Irac and Afghanistan in the 2008 election. What did they do after the 2008 election in which they swept the board? They continued both wars, they have no exit strategy for either, and have now added another war, their Libya War, a war that wasn't approved by Congress. They have also, in opposition to their own mantra in the 2008 election against deficit spending during a Republican presidency, increased deficit spending to unprecedented and economically crushing levels. How's that working for you, Steve?
And, what entitlements, specifically, would you cut and how and where would you cut them? And how, specifically, would you "trim" the defense budget when a Democrat president just took our country into an unconstitutional and political Democrats' undeclared war that continues and is continuing to push the U.S. into even more deficit spending?
As to fairness and equity in taxation, how do you feel about GE earning billions, paying no taxes, and getting a waiver to protect them from the costs of unconstitutional Obamacare? Americans are already taxed too much and for almost everything under the sun. What needs to be substantially cut, not "trimmed," is the metasticising, bloated federal government, with all its fraud, waste and abuse, and the arrogant prevailing attitude that Americans' bank accounts are the property of the federal government and to be used to subsidize profligate spending. They spend the dollars, we get to keep the change. How fair is that?
J.R., Obama announced, well him not personally but it was announced this morning that he has over 14 million backers and he will run again in 2012. People really need to wake up. I heard it said that he knows it is going to be close, as close as by one or two electorials votes in each districts. I hope and pray it is by a land slide. Every conservative needs to vote and wake up the young. That is his key the young, the hispanic, the unions, the blacks and the die hard liberals. I just hope and pray it is at least 60% to 40% against him or more.
I read a letter over at Congress.org this weekend from someone who sounded conservative complaining to their elected representatives about all the spending, etc., they stated we voted to put you in office against this, and it was to President Obama! Another sounding almost the same was from California to Feinstein! One of the most progressive liberals in Congress. People are delusional and stupid and i say this because they sounded conservative, upset about the spending but yet they claimed they voted for these Progressive Liberals to not to spend, but to balance the budget and these people have and do the complete opposite. It's insane. Another reason why many people should not vote in the federal elections. They don't know what they are voting for.
Thanks for the links, J.L. I put them in my links file and will subscribe to the e-mail lists.
Something I read earlier this week made me think Hillary's going to step down later this year. Who knows, maybe she's contemplating another run for President, even though she's publicly denied it. And, having been part of this corrupt administration, I think she's toast, even though the drive-by media have chimed in this week that her "numbers" are so great compared to Obama's.
I don't see how Obama will be able to effectively campaign again for President, since there will be many challenges to his eligibility, his unconstitutional power grabs, his going to war without Congress' approval, his lack of transparency, his failure and refusal to enforce our laws, his trashing the Constitution, his packing the White House with socialist advisors never confirmed by the Senate, his on-going avoidance of press conferences where he can't control the questions, his lied-about Muslim religion and interference in foreign governments in support of Muslim and al-Qaida "rebels" (terrorists), his sending American troops into U.N.-declared war against Libya, his reckless ruining of the economy, taking over private companies and banks, transferring U.S. wealth to his union cronies/benefactors, his big-business cronies, his preferred banks, foreign banks, foreign countries, and so on... The list is endless. We'll need a forensic audit when he leaves office.
If he runs in 2012, how will he even begin to defend his record or hold his own in a debate? There are no teleprompters to answer impromptu questions for him and every question will be loaded for bear. Frankly, I think he's already speeding up his dangerous agenda to accomplish what he plans to accomplish before the end of 2012. That's why they sneaked the hidden funding and set-asides into Obamacare in the dark of night during the final stages before passage of that nightmare that nobody got to read before voting on it. They're having to hurry up and nail down in 4 years what they had planned to have 8 years to complete. That gives him almost two years left in which to create the chaos and financial breakdown he needs to finish cramming socialism down Americans' throats.
That's why I think the House of Representatives should impeach him now, when they have the votes to do so, as well as defund his illegally-passed Obamacare, pull back the remainder of the Obamacare set-asides and stimulus money, refuse to raise the debt ceiling, defund approved "earmarks" and require them to be passed in the future as stand-alone bills and only for necessary and required federal government services, refuse to fund Obama's unapproved czars, and block his remaining agenda designed to bankrupt this country.
There's no way Obama could get through an election successfully while in the throes of impeachment for all the things he's done. Bill Clinton's actions that were grounds for his impeachment pale in comparison to Obama's abuses of power, Constitutional violations, refusal to follow and enforce our laws, refusal to protect the integrity of our international borders, willful destruction of our economy, ruining the dollar most of the world's currencies were pegged on, destroying American jobs, destroying the oil industry in the Gulf to run up the cost of gas and bring more gas taxes into the national treasury at the expense of American taxpayers, refusing to protect voters' rights to be protected from voter intimidation at the polls, refusing to prosecute black Muslims who violated election laws, planting new seeds of racial-hatred and class envy in this country, and trying to force fundamental transformation of our government and our American way of life that is based on the founding principles and our Christian heritage that he abhors.
Further, in the run-up to the 2012 election, Democrats in the Senate will be hard pressed to vote against his removal from office after impeachment, without jeopardizing Democrat Senate seats, especially when 24 Democrat Senate seats will up for re-election in 2012, and only 10 Republican seats will. Republicans have an excellent chance of taking back the Senate, with a pretty decent margin. And I believe Republicans have a good chance to take back the Presidency and restore the dignity and respect that have traditionally been inherent in the highest elected office in America.
Even if Obama were to fool me and win in 2012, he'd have a Republican Congress to give him rock-solid gridlock for four years. Petulant Obama doesn't have the patience to endure that. Of course, it would give him plenty of time to play golf and basketball, take more ritzy vactions at taxpayers' expense, and throw more lavish parties for empty-headed and shallow pop-culture celebrities. Nothing new there...
Also here you can see what has gone on and schedules in the house:
Just go over to the same with the senate.gov and you can find some information.

Great mailing lists:

http://www.majorityleader.gov/Solutions/
I get a weekly calendar from Eric Cantor and updates from Boehner
Go poking around at the gop.gov you can see their solutions, their cuts etc.. They have several great email lists to be on, that sends you weekly schedules in Congress, etc..
Even Democrats have remarked how much better they like debating in the House now that Boehner is running it, they feel like they are doing something right, honest and in the open unlike the way Pelosi ran it. History is going to show her to be what she is, a liar, a manipulated, a cheat, someone completely rabid and out of control with power. I think history will show the same for many of hte progressives.
As far as Secretary of State, is Hillary going to quit before 2013? I think Obama has a real surprise in store for him if he thinks it is going to be easy. You can not tell me that Hillary does not have dirt on these people. She has been globe trotting for over two years and i betcha' she will lay a bomb on his campaign if not after.
Hillary will strike back.
Rand Paul is like his father, although his father has tried and tried, right now he is testing the waters for running for the President again. It may be time for a true Constitutionalist to run. Personally i think the ... is going to hit the fan in 2012. The conservatives learned a lot after the 2006 elections and even more in 2008.
There is a link below to an article about the possibility that Samantha Power, George Soros' close ally in the White House, might become the Secretary of State to replace Hillary Clinton. It could be that this possibility is just being floated to see what the response will be. As we discussed on this blog thread earlier, it was reported to have been Samantha Power and Hillary Clinton who influenced Obama in his decision to enter into a war action in Libya.
Influenced or not, only Obama owns his decision and actions that were clearly unconstitutional. His statements surrounding the situation indicate that he knowingly and purposefully violated the Constitution and his Oath of Office and subordinated the United States and its military to the United Nations and the Arab League. In doing so, Obama made a conscious choice to by-pass the U.S. Congress and betray his sworn duty and trust to the American people whose voice in government is expressed through their duly elected members, who serve on their behalf, in Congress.

Here's another new article today on DrudgeReport, this one about Sen. Rand Paul. It has some of the typical Associated Press slant, but is quite favorable to Rand Paul who is in Iowa. They share some of our opinions expressed on this blog-thread. It also mentions Sen. Paul's position against deficit spending.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
