Politico: Media Matters sought Fox investigations

The Daily Caller's Tucker Carlson, who has opened an ongoing investigation into liberal watchdog Media Matters For America and its founder, David Brock, talks to Fox & Friends.
As part of its ongoing investigation into Media Matters For America, the Daily Caller reports today that in 2009 MMFA's Karl Frisch proposed hiring private investigators to, as Frisch wrote, "look into the personal lives of Fox News anchors, hosts, reporters, prominent contributors, senior network and corporate staff."
The project would be paid for by a "Fox Fund," which would also provide funding to investigate legal actions that could be taken against Fox News and “an elaborate shareholder campaign” against News Corp.

I am in total agreement Debbie. I think we have not seen or heard the last of it either sadly. He is using the federal government to seek revenge and retribution on anyone who disagrees with him (and to take our focus off what is most important right now), so we may be in for a rocky ride between now and November. I don't suppose writing to our congressmen and senators would help?

In my opinion, the timing of these "requests" from the IRS are not coincidence, but rather a concerted effort on behalf of this administration to mute the voices of reason.

This is blatant violation of their 501c status. I, along with thousands of other Americans, sent a formal complaint to the IRS last year and received a do nothing response. On the other hand tea party groups across the nation have, coincidentally, received letters within the same time frame from the IRS to produce a multitude of paperwork to demonstrate our compliance. The depicted IRS form is from a northern tea party.
