Senate Democrats hold thousands of jobs hostage over their fight to save corporate welfare to major airlines. Senate Democrats, acting like financial terrorists, refuse to limit payment  for rural airport passengers to less than $1,0000 per passenger and to those airports more than 90 miles from a major airport. Corporate welfare to Continental at one airport alone totaled more than $1,000,000,000 serving only 18 round trip passengers per day. The subsidies are as high as $3,900 per passenger. Over 4,000 jobs at the FAA are currently lost and millions of dollars in construction projects have ground to a halt. Refusing to compromise, the Senate Democrats have tabled a bill passed by the House that would save $14,000,000 per year. This financial terrorism has prevented the collection of fees on airline tickets, costing the treasury more than $30,000,000, per day; over $200,000,000 to date.
