September 17, 2011 – US Day of Rage
This has been billed as a “non violent” (day of RAGE????) takeover of Wall Street and disruption of banks, the stock market and capitalism. It is real. Do an internet search on US Day of Rage. Look up the involvement of Wade Rathke (founder of ACORN) and Stephen Lerner (affiliated with SEIU). I would recommend you educate yourself about this project and understand those who feel capitalism should be disrupted and our free enterprise system destroyed. This movement seeks to have those who can’t make it to Wall Street on 9/17 carry out acts of civil disobedience directed at banks and symbols of capitalism in their local area. Their desire is to occupy Wall Street and targeted financial businesses for weeks or months if possible.
Suppose for a moment that they are successful to any extent. Successful at disruption of any banking or stock exchange activity for instance. September 17 is a Saturday. If you have any significant or important financial business on or immediately following that date, you may want to make alternative plans. You may want to have needed cash on hand rather than face an urgent need to obtain cash that weekend or the first part of the next week.
Don’t think these folks are serious? Take a look at the riots in London or take the training videos about legal support once you are arrested for civil disobedience thoughtfully provided on the US Day of Rage web site.
