"Shall the state of florida secede from the union?"

We should pool our resoarces to introduce a ballad initiative so floridians can decide are we going to be government slaves? We should stop sending dc our fica and our taxes and instead be diverted to our state untill we fase out social  security. We should invite businesses to come in and be shielded from all federal regulations.

Pretty funny, looks like DC gets the most. Its always wrong to use the federal gov to steal from one to give to another. It makes people resent leaches. I would much rather the person/people come to my front door and demand my money. I have a shallow hole  on my property just for these people.

On the premise that if you want to be taken seriously, you need to have serious thoughts, does anyone actually believe that Florida is on the verge of military rebellion because of social security?

Given that Florida attracts both military and retirees (including military retirees), I have not looked at the figures, but suspect that Florida derives a significant net finanacial benefit from federal payments on both counts.

Paul, could be typos. Certainly, I have had to go back to edit a few times after reading what I wrote and discovering the words I "put in" weren't there or that oops, I misspelled something. It happens to the best of us, but we do tend to notice it faster in someone else's writing....... I appreciate Gary posting a challenging issue that should draw much discussion. Certainly, there are other states that have/are considering this and Texas is one of them and they can do so whenever they wish since that was part of the agreement with the state when it joined the union.

Florida needs the rest of the country, if for no other reason to explain to us the diffence betwee a ballot and and ballad, and to explain the distinction between a fase and a phase. I doubt that most international businesses seek out locations where half the population couldn't make it through a fifth grade English lesson or basic high school level American history or civics class.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
