If the commission in Sarasota works to repeal Stand Your Ground, others will follow.  This isn't just their fight, it is our fight too. They have asked for as many signatures as they can get.

Earlier this week, the Sarasota City Commission presented their "2014 Legislative Priorities"  - one of which was the "Repeal of Florida's Stand Your Ground Law".

Even though Florida's Stand Your Ground Law is strongly supported by the majority of Sheriffs and Citizens from around the State, the City Commission decided that the repeal of this law was worthy of being listed as a "Major Legislative Priority".
