The Florida Senate: SB 576: Public-private Partnerships

If this doesn't scare you, it should.  It is further errosion of our free market system by trying to blur the lines and allow government to mandate what businesses do by pulling them into their web.

GENERAL BILL by Bennett

Public-private Partnerships; Establishing the Florida Public-Private Partnership Act; providing for private entities to develop and operate public-purpose projects; requiring public entities to adopt and make publicly available specified guidelines for public-private agreements; providing an exemption from the Consultant’s Competitive Negotiation Act and any interpretations, regulations, or guidelines of the Department of Management Services; providing requirements and procedures for interim and comprehensive agreements between private and public entities; providing for material default and remedies with respect to projects and agreements; establishing the Public-Private Partnership Advisory Commission, etc.
