Do you agree?  I certainly don't agree with Brown on this, and my reasons are these jobs that would be created are temporary UNION jobs which are meant to make the economy look like it is improving and allow Obama to say it is as a campaign issue.   In reality, nothing would be getting better except some folks would have temporary work and the unions would have more money to donate to the Obama campaign.  The policies of this administration are what is stopping job creation and Obamacare.

Mayor Alvin Brown joined U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood Wednesday in calling on Congress to approve President Barack Obama’s proposed American Jobs Act.

In a conference call, LaHood said the $447 billion proposal contains $60 billion for much-needed transportation projects.

“There’s no secret about the fact that America’s infrastructure is crumbling,” LaHood said. He said the work would “put Americans back to work building America’s infrastructure.”

“All across America, people are trying to get back to work and we’re no different in Jacksonville,” Brown said.
