As it searches for a new superintendent, the Duval County School Board is considering hiring a chief officer for information and accountability who would report directly to outgoing Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals.
The job would entail overseeing all academic program research, assessment and evaluations and would pay $108,000 to $162,000 a year.
The work will focus on the continuous improvement of students, teachers, principals and the district by reviewing academic program performance data, assisting with the implementation of best business practices and enhancing the quality of support services, according to the job description.
The proposed job description is among four involving new administrative or supervisory positions slated for action by the board during its meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the School Administration Building, 1701 Prudential Drive. The meeting will be broadcast live on Comcast Channel 99 and online at www.duvalschools.org.
