Two high-ranking administrators of Jacksonville’s General Employee Pension Fund have been removed from their posts, the mayor’s office said Monday.
Pensions administration manager Beth Mangold and pension benefit specialist Judy Connare have been placed on paid administrative leave and are in the process of being reassigned to other city jobs, mayoral spokesman David DeCamp said.
Mangold made $90,560 and Connare $58,714 in their positions with the fund.
The city would not comment on the decision, DeCamp said, deeming it a personnel matter, beyond saying there is no investigation that has or is taking place related to the decision to remove the two women.
The fund's board chairman, Terry Wood, said the mayor's office did not contact the board about the removals.
