Urgent! Poll Workers Wanted

Urgent Action Alert !

Several members of FCTP met with Jerry Holland this morning, he says he is short at least 65 Poll Workers.

The Supervisor of Elections office will be seeking an additional 65 Poll Workers, there will be a one time class, the dates are either July30, or 31 for this special class.

Anyone wishing to take advantage of this class is requested to contact Jerry Holland @:

Thank you Deborah. The training session is Tuesday July 31st from 9 AM to 1 PM at the election center over on the west side. You will get an Email letting you know about it and the location! Thank you so much for doing this to everyone who has written to Jerry Holland. You are patriots!

Susan, do you mean a poll watcher? If that is what you are talking about you need to contact the republican party office and tell them you will be a poll watcher (that is where you go for half a day and make sure nothing happens that isn't supposed to. You basically just watch everything going on and if something bad happens you stop it, and call Jerry Holland at the number they give you or whatever contact person they give you!

I received a response back today from Tracie Davis with the Supervisor of Elections in Duval County.  I had submitted my application yesterday.  The class is July 31, from 9am to 1:00pm, held at our Election Center, 5200-2 Norwood Avenue, second floor in training room 1.  Hope to see some of you folks there.

Joshua, you might be able to get some idea from Jerry about that, but I don't think the actual class has been set as yet.

Jerry indicated being a poll worker was better for the over all system than a watcher although both are good.
