Conservatives in Congress are calling for your written support of the 2nd Amendment. Those FOR gun controls, bans and universal background checks are significantly ahead of those AGAINST in voicing their written opposition to Congress. Various liberal groups are sending letters, petitions, emails, FAXs, postcards, etc. in large numbers to Congress in opposition of the 2nd Amendment. Those opposed to gun control and universal background checks are lagging behind in documenting opposition to Congress. That's why the media and Obama are reporting that most Americans want gun control. The “squeaky wheel” and stacks of papers counts to Congress. Congress wants everything documented and the weight counts. Please contact those shown below in Congress and the White House to oppose any and all attempt to infringe on your 2nd Amendment rights, oppose universal background checks and any ban of any kind. Protect your birthright.
Senator Cruz (R-TX, Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights) reported that Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL, Chairman of this Committee and against the 2nd Amendment) prides himself on carrying a large stack of statements from the other side to showcase and submit into the record at Committee meetings. Recently, Senator Cruz put out a call to send your thoughts in the form of a formal letter to his committee. The Senator requested your letters in a short, compelling, formal letter format that makes a pro 2nd Amendment argument. Senator Cruz suggested you could also send your personal story if you exercised your 2nd Amendment rights in a positive way, perhaps in defense of yourself, your family or your business or maybe you scared off a robber. (BLOG ACTION ITEM of Feb 7, 2013 – Although Senator Cruz wanted letters for a meeting a couple of weeks ago, the need for pro 2nd Amendment letters still exists.)
Here’s a summary of what we can do:
Here's how: Write a letter and follow up with a phone call and/or another letter. Volume matters. Some letters may become part of the Congressional record or hearings. The 2nd Amendment applies to everyone – have each member of your household write separate letters. Remember, volume matters. Just don’t contact your State Senators – contact the Congressional Committees pushing to get the Obama attacks passed as well as your State Senators, your Representative and the White House. Once you write your first letter, you can write the same thing to the others or “cc” the others but you must mail or FAX Committee members separately. A suggested Congressional list of names and addresses is shown below for the Committee Chairs and Ranking Members along with our Florida contacts. You can also send to each committee member as well; for example, every Democrat on the committee. For all Senate committee members, go to http://www.judiciary.senate.gov/about/ and click on Members or Subcommittees. For all House committee members, go to: http://judiciary.house.gov/about/members.html For the White House, go to: http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/submit-questions-and-comments
Follow up with a phone call and follow-up letter. Write again as new issue surface. Remember, volume counts. If you think this is going to take too much time, think of the time and sacrifices our forefathers made to give us the right to bear arms; and then… dig in and just start writing.
FYI: When writing letters to Congress, FAX if you can. Mailed letters are fine but take about 2 weeks to clear security. Formal letters to members outside of Florida can be sent as part of an email IF you have the Congressional members email address or a staff member’s email. Note: The fill-in email form at each Congressional member’s site is primarily for their district/state residents and those addresses outside the area they represent will receive little to no attention at that site.
If you can’t send a letter – send a postcard. Those count too.

Michelle and everybody else your doing all you can do. Keep up the good work all of us Americans thank all of you. I am faxing every congressman & sen.
No, the bill does not cover "everything". Feinstein and her cronies left out just enough so no one could claim that. I am surprised that Rand Paul would say that. However, the bill guts the 2nd Amendment and turns the Constitution into a worthless piece of paper. This is just one of many continuing assaults on the Constitution. The battle is on.
God love ya, Lee. Thanks.
Beth
Well done Beth! You did a lot of work on this. I am forwarding it to all my friends who are 2nd amendment supporters.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
