Hey Tea Party!! Aren't we supposed to be holding our elected officials accountable? I have tried calling the offices of my elected officials in DC, but am continuously told there are no town halls scheduled. How many vacations, or recesses, has congress had since the 2010 election? Maybe I didn't know about it, but how many town halls have we had in this area since the 2010 election cycle?
"They" need to come before us on a regular basis. By not "encouraging" them to come before us, we are acquiescing our authority over our elected officials to them and ignoring our responsibility to our children's future. I personally do not have any clout, but the Tea Party of this area should hold some sway as they all professed to represent Tea Party sentiments while they were asking for our votes. We have plenty of venues that can be used and I am sure many or us will show up to get some answers and provide some guidance.
Is it possible to make a concerted effort to "Invite" our elected officials from DC to explain what the heck they are doing or not doing in DC on our behalf? Bohner is dropping the ball and continuing on in the old ways with that tired old mindset. The people who profess to represent the Tea Party must make it known that many of us are disillusioned with the representation we are getting out of the republicans that we helped get elected. I hope I am not alone in this way of thinking. Is there anybody with any clout in FCTP who can get these people to begin a sustained dialogue with US?
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
