From My Point of View

REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT

There is a tremendous amount of information at the Federal and State levels related to the history of the resettlement of refugees into America. I will provide links at the end of this "tea" for those who would be interesting in learning more. For the purpose of this communication I will focus on the most current move by our President to accept 10,000 additional refugees into the United States.

I would ask that should you determine that this is not a move that our Country should be taking that you take the time to contact first your Federal Senator's and Representatives, then the elected officials of Florida. Should you have the desire it would not hurt to contact your local city leaders and let them know of your concerns.

To locate contact information I would encourage you to go to the top of the FCTP page and click on "Legislators" There you will find 3 sub-tabs. (Federal, State and Local - Multiple County information is provided.)  There are too many to post here.

The best place to start

Watch this 4 minute video which is filled with information and will give you a solid but quick overview of the "issue"

"Full press release from Michael McCaul  R-Texas on Friday.

McCaul Introduces Bill to Give Congress Oversight of Syrian Refugee Resettlement Program

WASHINGTON, DC– Today, Congressman Michael McCaul, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, introduced the Refugee Resettlement Oversight and Security Act. If enacted into law, this legislation would give the American people’s representatives the chance to vote up or down on the President’s plan to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees into the United States and improve the security vetting process. Specifically, this bill will:

~Require affirmative approval by both the House and Senate before any refugees are admitted to the U.S.

~Allow Congress to block any inadequate refugee resettlement plan put forward by the President.

~Require the Administration, when considering the admission of refugees from Iraq and Syria, to prioritize the resettlement of oppressed religious minorities.

~Ensure DHS, in coordination with DNI and FBI, provides new security assurances before admitting refugees into the country and for the Governmental Accountability Office to conduct a sweeping review of security gaps in the current refugee screening process.

Link to bill:

http://mccaul.house.gov/sites/mccaul.house.gov/files/Refugee%20Rese...

McCaul: “Many Americans are understandably concerned about the threat posed by inadequate security screening procedures for refugee seeking entry into the United States. ISIS themselves have stated their intention to take advantage of the crisis to infiltrate the west. We have to take this threat seriously.

This bill will rein in the Administration’s refugee resettlement plans and give Congress more control over the process by requiring the Administration to get affirmative approval from Congress through the enactment of a joint resolution before any refugees may be admitted into the United States.

These important security updates to the refugee process are necessary for not only the security of the United States, but for the safety of the refugees.”

With just the information above you should feel comfortable enough to contact your local, state and federal elected officials and tell them of your concerns for your city, your state and your country.

I have learned of another bill in an article from NumbersUSA.com which states

in an op-ed for the Chicago Sun-Times calling for the passage of Rep. Brian Babin's (R-Texas) Resettlement Accountability National Security Act of 2015, H.R. 3314, that would immediately suspend the refugee resettlement program until the Government Accountability Office could analyze the costs to states and local communities and the potential threats to national security. In his op-ed, Roy also called humanitarian aid to support refugee camps closer to Syria to deal with the hundreds of thousands of refugees.

Short bill take a look at the benefits these people get:

Top 12 states “welcoming” refugees (so far) this year

by Ann Corcoran

The fiscal year is over in 3 months and as of June 30th the US State Department has released statistics on which refugees are going to which states.  For new readers these are the refugees in the regular Refugee Resettlement program; the stats do not include the surging border-invading migrants and "children," asylees, temporary protected status holders, or diversity visa lottery winners.  These are just the refugees resettled through the federal contractors ***to your states.

By the way, they previously made public which refugees were going to which cities, but that information is no longer available to us (why?).

The total resettled as of June 30th is 50,988 so they are on target to meet their Obama-set goal of 70,000 by September 30th, however, the border crisis and the overload communities will be feeling from that may stem this year's tide of other third worlders.

Indeed, the frightening news about "refugees" from Central America invading America may well represent a public relations nightmare for the contractors who have, over three decades, carefully wrapped the word "refugee" in warm and fuzzy language.

Go here and open Arrivals by state and country location (see who is coming to your state).

Here are the top 12 states "welcoming" refugees this fiscal year (Oct. 1, 2013-June 30,2014)

Texas (5,141)  Turning the red state blue one immigrant at a time?

California (4,541)

New York (3,014)

Michigan (2,980)

Florida (2,624)

Ohio (2,208)

Pennsylvania (2,051)

Arizona (1,994)

Georgia (1,968)

Washington (1,863)

Illinois (1,840)

North Carolina (1,834)

 And lastly I add:

Nearly 80% of states receiving most refugees have GOP upper house majorities

(Infowars) – The Obama administration is mainly resettling migrants in Republican-controlled states, according to analysis.

Of the 19 states that took in the most refugees per capita in 2013 and 2014, 15 have upper house legislatures dominated by Republicans, a percentage of nearly 80%.

In comparison, only three of the 19 states are Democratic and another state, Nebraska, has a nonpartisan legislature but is considered a ‘red state’ in presidential elections.

Overall, Republican-controlled states (upper house majorities) represent 62% of the country but 79% of the top states for refugees whereas Democratic-controlled states represent 24% of the country but only 16% of the states taking in the most migrants.

States where Republicans control the upper house legislature.

Nearly 42% of Democratic states resettle the fewest refugees in comparison to 29% of Republican states.

The analysis was made by comparing a map of the U.S. state legislative upper house majorities as of 2015 to data released by the Office of Refugee Resettlement compiled by the Washington Post.

The results from the analysis aren’t surprising considering the Obama administration announced the White House Task Force on New Americans program in 2014 to convert recent migrants and refugees into “new Americans” with full voting rights.

“Critics say the program is not as much about creating ‘new Americans’ as it is about creating new ‘voters’ who will help re-elect Democrats and institutionalize Obama’s policies on immigration, education and healthcare for years to come,” Leo Hohmann of WND reported. “…The ‘welcoming’ mantra has been running hot within the Obama administration for several years and culminated with a report released April 17 by his White House Task Force on New Americans.”

“Obama formed the special task force Nov. 21, 2014, when he announced his controversial executive actions to unilaterally grant amnesty to some 5 million illegal aliens; his administration is also bringing in 70,000 foreign refugees per year from Iraq, Somalia, Bhutan, Burma, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Afghanistan and, most recently, Syria.”

Why bring is anyone else?

Can't afford those that are already here.  If anyone wants to help a refugee or a refugee family, put up the money to sponsor as many as you want.  Take up donations to sponsor a family.

But, keep them OFF of government freebies and handout programs.

Or just send them to the Mexican border and they can walk into America and report to Homeland Security to be taken care of.

Why not bring in all those Christians in Jordan and elsewhere who have NO chance of returning. Most of the refugees will be Army age men who should be serving in an anti-ISIS unit fighting for their homes. Like liberals everywhere they abhor killing, perhaps.

America is a Socialist country, right NOW,  whether the people want to admit it or not.  America is one election away from being a communist country.

Everything obama has done domestically, every action, every maneuver and every law has come out of his past studies, training, experiences and involvement in community activism and community organizing activities with various Marxist Socialism, Black Liberation Theology, communist tactics, Islam and Latino community organizing in Chicago.

These plans and strategies have been around since the 60s with anti-american organizations and movements.

The obama coup was the opportunity these groups have been waiting for...even better than they hoped.  To have one of their own in the White House as Potus.

Americans have allowed their country to be taken from them.  They have allowed America's worst nightmare to be a reality.

Communism is a reality for America.  The whole world knows this, sees this and senses this but the people still refuse to set aside their precious little lives and temporary security to mobilize and take meaningful action against this government and this very real present enemy.

Alexis de Tocqueville's 1830s observation of the direction America would take has become a reality in America.

Soft Despotism:   A willing enslavement of the population to a central government master that takes control of the entire economic life, owns all wealth and property, dictates exactly how citizens will labor, what they will produce, and what their wages will be, and takes all the excess wealth by force or either through unlawful seizure or lawful seizure through taxation....All in return for providing complete comfort and security to the enslaved populace....Temporarily.

America is being purposely flooded with foreigners across borders and through government to financially break America and because these people will be willing slaves from day one.

The American people have been defeated in a war they would not acknowledge they were in.....

Present day Americans have allowed their country to go down to defeat...on their watch!

All those that came before to sacrifice family, property, time, finances, life and limb for the country and future Americans, did so in vain.

Tell Congressional Leaders not to fund Syrian resettlement in FY2016 continuing resolution

Dear activists,

Earlier this month, Pres. Obama told Congress that he plans to resettle at least 10,000 Syrians in the United States. A group of Congressional Democrats along with some special interest groups have since pushed for the U.S. to receive up to 100,000 Syrians. The FBI's assistant director told a Congressional panel earlier this year that he has national security concerns with such a plan and that the agency has no system to vet whether or not Syrians pose a threat to the United States.

House and Senate Appropriators are currently working on a Continuing Resolution to fund the government for FY2016 after current funding expires on Sept. 30.

Please call House and Senate Leadership and demand a provision in the CR that says none of the funds in the CR can be use to bring Syrians to the United States for resettlement.

Call GOP Leadership

Calling is simple! Below the talking point, you'll find a list of GOP Leaders and their telephone numbers. Contact each one and tell the staffer that you want Leadership to ensure that the continuing resolution to fund the government for fiscal year 2016 includes a provision that blocks funding for Syrian resettlement.

The White House is calling for the resettlement of at least 10,000 Syrians to the United States, while others are calling for up to 100,000. The FBI says it can't determine whether the resettlement of Syrians would pose a threat to national security. As a member of the GOP Leadership team, I urge you to include a provision in the fiscal year 2016 CR that says none of the funds in the CR can be use to bring Syrians to the United States for resettlement.

Just in:

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2015/09/20/ready-for-more-fundamental-tra...

Ready for More ‘Fundamental Transformation’?

Say good-night, Gracie:

The United States will increase its cap on the number of refugees it admits and resettles to 85,000 in the coming year and 100,000 in the following year, Secretary of State John F. Kerry said Sunday. The additional refugees, up from 70,000 in the current fiscal year that ends Sept. 30, will come from countries around the world. But the increase largely reflects the 10,000 Syrian refugees that the White House has promised to resettle over the next 12 months.

Naturally, this is being couched in Alinskyite terms: making the enemy (us) live up to their own book of rules.

“This step is in keeping with America’s best tradition as a land of second chances and a beacon of hope,” Kerry said in announcing the increase during a visit to Berlin to discuss the Syrian refugee crisis with his German counterpart, Frank Walter Steinmeier. Even before Syrian refugees began streaming into Europe in recent weeks, the State Department had been considering a modest increase of about 5,000 refugees, including more from Congo, where human rights abuses are rampant. At the end of every fiscal year, the State Department announces the new target number for refugees.

The Emperor is doing this on his own toot, as usual. Congress actually could stop it, using the (apparently now imaginary) “power of the purse” — but of course it won’t.

Though the administration can unilaterally set a numerical goal for the refugees it wants to accept, it is up to Congress to agree to fund their resettlement. In the current fiscal year, it cost $1.1 billion to bring 70,000 refugees to the United States, put them through an orientation program run by refugee charities and have them dispersed around the country. At a similar level of funding, the increase would cost at least an extra $200 million.

One of the reasons it is so expensive is that every refugee must undergo extensive background checks under security measures enacted after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Those checks have been taking 18 to 24 months for the Syrians, according to State Department figures.

This from the same folks who brought us Maj. Hasan and the Tsarnaev brothers — what could possibly go wrong? But hey — it could be worse:

The goals announced by Kerry still far short of the 100,000 or more Syrian refugees that some members of Congress and humanitarian agencies have urged the administration to admit.
