I guess the House version of the immigration bill ended up being watered down in the senate. It concerns me that Senator Hairodopolis was not abe to pull the republicans together to pass HB 7089 in its origional form. If he can't pull his party together at the state level how effective will he be at the federal level.

Billie,

Thanks for Bringing  the Florida Illegal Immigration Problem to our Attention Again. The Costs to our State, Our Unemployed, and to Florida Tax Payers is Staggering. 

 Florida has the 3 Largest Unemployment Rate and the 3rd Highest Illegal Alien Population in the Country. That is not  Co-Incidence - Its simple Math. 

Our Youth & our Kids are the Ones Most Affected by Employers that Hire Illegals.  Unemployment in the under 25 age group is Double those Over 25.

 Most of us Remember the Menial Jobs we had during our High School and College Years to Help our Parents with our Living and Educational Expenses. Those Jobs, ie, Delivering Newspapers, Cutting Neighbors Lawns, Washing their Cars, Painting their Homes, Working in Fast Food Restaurants, Motels and Hotels, helpers in Construction.

These Menial Part Time Jobs are Now Taken by the Illegals.

Incidentally, When You speak with Hairodopolus, Mention to him You want the E-Verify Bill to be Effective Immediately, not the 2114 Date as Proposed.
