Cynthia; we have been hoodwinked.  Instead of providing temporary relief in an occupational transitional period into a "life style" of no work, all play with all the drugs and booze you could ever want.  Their play was on our Christian Charity to give without expectations of results, though it would have been nice to see such.  We allowed them to breed into a block that does just that.  We provided shelter, food, medical with no questions asked.  Well those days are over!  Hats off tho Gov. Rick Scott for implementation of drug testing before the recipient recieves free lodging.

As if we didn't already know.... To those who think retired people are causing the social security system to go broke................................. Look at this picture and see if you can find one retirement aged person in the place. Read to the bottom Social Security Office In Austin , TX     A friend went to the social security office this week to file for Medicare because it is the only way to keep medical insurance when you turn 65. He took a picture of the waiting room Please tell me if you can find a retired person in the place!!!! It's called "disability" insurance!!!! You no longer have to wonder why SS is broke!!! These people do not pay into the system, nor are they disabled!!! Please spread this picture to everyone you know. Our country is going broke on this fraud!!! Please also go down to your SS office and take a picture and post it on the Internet. It just might wake up the country as to what is going on!!!

My husband worked for a company that repaired the ac's and heaters in Duval County public housing. they would call them out simply to change the thermostat from ac to heat, which cost the county $80. All of the electricty is paid for by taxpayers.  There cars are all new and very expensive.  Everyone is home all day watching cable on big screen tvs and playing the latest game systems - paid for by taxpayers who do not have these luxury items. Also there is a new program that people on medicade can get in addition to their EBT cards that pays for items such as laundry soap, douche, etc.  Were does it end?

Anybody want to bet that this bozo DIDN'T vote for Obama in 2008 and again WON'T in 2012?

Obama insists on more of our money so that even more idiots like this one can go to college and we taxpayers get stuck with picking up the tab for all related (and unrelated) expenses for them as well.

Any one pick up on what Judge Judy said this deadbeat has been been in college for for three years? What his major is while we're all getting soaked?

I hate leeches.  I hate a gov't that makes these kinds of people.  This can be laid right on the door step of the US gov't from about the mid 60's with LBJ and his poverty program.  The greatest destruction of the black family since slavery.  Why would anyone be a Democrat.  They do nothing but bring heart ache and strife to peoples lives.  They are the new OVERSEERS on the plantation!!!

More definitive material of the "machine theft" of public monies.  This is being purpetrated by the City of Jax's own Jacksonville Economic Development Commission.  It would surely make Al Capone smile.

 

A couple of points to clarify. 

The parent company Kaman, was at International Airport in the '70's & '80's before this expansion into the aerospace sector at Imeson.  

I think the 2002 date was when a major shift in family ownership due to the Father and founder.  At that time they began to split off and greatly expand.  

On the South Jacksonville extension of Enterprize Zone.  From what Whitaker mentioned the other day, and I am sending him an inquiry for definition, the basic enterprise zone concept extends to the 1968 preconsolidation city limits.  With regard to Imeson that was Trout River at the time, now 2 miles from the Clark Rd. line that is 1/3 the way from the south boundary of Imeson, at Gunclub Rd. to the North end at Cedar Bay Rd.   

I was reading the fine print of 376 and that may be where you will find your and my answer about enterprise zones with no populace.  It plainly states in a subsection that an area with less than something like 20% populace living below the poverty line can then instead use the entire COUNTY WIDE demographics, census data to satisfy that requirement....so catch -22 works every time, when all else fails...and we all know the woes of Article 135 UCMJ...they used to use as the no fail heavy hammer for ,"all else not otherwise covered."  That is defined in FSS 290.0058 (2) (a).  

I am going to ask Whitaker for a source for the EZ map he is using.  He only gave us the one for the proposals at Imeson.  

The South  Jacksonville  extension  may go back further than I remembered like 1919 or 1925.  There were several different expansions.  I had always thought I remembered Cassat Ave / Edgewood Ave. as the Westside boundary .  A piece of Cassat between Lenox and Post ST. apparently was what I remembered and thought that continued north and south and it didn't.  It made a jog to Roosevelt Blvd. going south and north of Beaver St. ran behind Paxon High School at Melson instead of Edgewood, which was one of old Duval Cty's main thoroughfares.  That line is

a crazy zigzag of lines I can't be sure of in places.  

At any rate by that definition above and resorting to" Catch-22 ", it appears they can for convenience make the leap from Trout River 2 miles to Imeson...and in fact did that in 1995 from the date Whitaker referenced at that meeting.   

I also need to nail down what he said about that Finance Comm. Hrg.  If I heard him correctly it has to be a special open hearing at 5:00 p.m. Tues. 2, Aug. instead of 9:00a.m.  He is not a real open fellow; you have to extract information like Wisdom

Teeth from all JEDC members.  (Guess they realize they  are not the most popular act in town.)
