If the goal is to focus on which Representative deserves to stay and which needs to go, then we need to learn how to do it.

Ken, couldn't agree more. Problem is there are Progressives in each party therefore it's becoming more and more difficult for conservative values, sic common sense, to prevail.

We need to start focusing on which Representatives deserve to stay and which need to go.  Once this is determined we can develop a strategy on what to do and how to do it.  If true conservatives don't soon gain control our country is doomed to the toilet of history as just one more example of how greed can destroy a democracy.

 

This entire issue of what do we really need to do to "fix" the problem has concerned me for some time now and what bothers me most is that every damn politician's response is to tinker with the very system that has created the problem.  Someone recently sent me a tidbit that really says it as it is: "Listening to Democrats and Republicans argue over the budget and deficit is like listening to two drunks arguing over the bar tab on the Titanic!"

 

If we are to regain our moral compass and return to our constitutional base we must focus on the entire problem and work to change the whole.  I don't profess to have the specific answers but I have done considerable research that went into a "White Paper" I posted on my rebuilt web site:

I worn you now, it's long and detailed (as most white papers are) but it addresses the three areas that must be corrected... like the three legs of a stool, shorten or lengthen one without the other it will fall over. Work on all three and you have a more stable and stronger stool than before.

That's Right talking as an American NOT A REPUBLICAN!  Yes, it is the Republicans as well as the Democrats. They both have caused us to be in this defunk. Get this Straight GOP it is the private sector that keeps America going NOT YOUR POLITICS/POLITICIANS!!!! Anyone that runs for office first should have owned their own business and  have put their  own blood, sweat and tears into it before they can even be a candidate.  The Heart of America is the  business owners. And the DEMS AND REPUBLICANS KILLED US!!!! It's time to DItch the parties and have the Party called  THE AMERICAN Party.  "The People's Voices."  I am sick and tired of the Republicans thinking  it is business as usual and lying to us ! Just look at our local REC in St. Augustine. They are just as corrupt and deceitful.  Its about them keeping their jobs and NOT FOR THE PEOPLE1  IF Eric West is any type of Republican that wants to run I would have to openly expose him as a deviant, lying unethical person and his goomba puppeteer Randy Covington who sit on the REC Board. It is the same LIES and DECEITS that we deal with in the White House.   Just because a person does it differently doesn't make it any different when lies, deceits, deceptions  are their foundation.  I am NOT proud to say that I am a registered Republican. The Party is a disgrace!!! I will vote for the Best Tea Party Candidate that is a Conservative, Business owner who stand for Biblical Truths and doesn't sway and is a True Constitutionalist!

Thanks for sharing this Mr. Motsett! We would be in the dark otherwise - didn't see it on any news channel, but possibly it was on C-Span. A rare display of honesty coming from that chamber. Too bad is wasn't our own warm and fuzzy Ander Crenshaw, or the "Go Gata" cheerleader.

Finally someone that deserves the respect of the people.  You hope Ander Crenshaw is listening, I hope Corrine Brown is even in the room.  It's just like he said they're too worried about themselves and keeping THEIR jobs for them to worry about us keeping OUR jobs.  They're so far removed from anything outside the beltway I honestly don't believe they understand or more importantenly they don't care about what goes on in the "fly over area" of the United States.  As far as they're concerned there is Ca, NY, WDC to worry about.  Don't want to know anything about the inbetween until they have to go home and kiss ass and babies so they can come back to WDC and forget for another 2 or 6 years.  Yes this is government always has been and sorry to say always will be unless everyone that believes in America stands up and says "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore".

This is a great example of one Representative who "Gets It" and is attempting to do what is right for all Americans instead of playing political games.

 

He is just one of a very few on a short list of Representatives and Senators who do want to do what's right for the country and who is refusing to play political gamesmanship.  The only other Rep on my short list is Allen West of SE FL. 

I encourage you to add additional members of Congress you believe belong on the short list of those who "Get It".  Let's see if we can develop a list of Representatives to support in the upcoming election.
