This Washington Post reporter thinks you are a bunch of dumb idiots since we believe in the Constitution - the original contract between the government and the people. What say you?

Yes many people do not understand the wording of the Constitution. This is our fault. Who controls our Duval County School's, the City of Jacksonville, the State of Florida, or the Federal Government? This question is not as simple as it sounds. The answer is much more important than you could imagine. Just what are they teaching our kids, and in my case grandkids? I did not get as involved in my children's education as i should have, to my shame. All 7 of my kids failed in life. Now i am trying very hard to teach my grandkids what i learned. I tell my kids to get involved in there kids schooling. We have to stop Atheists from controlling us as well. Praying in school, or any place in America, is NOT mixing " State and Religion", what does that even mean anyway? Look at America sense Atheists started there destruction of God in America. Teach your kids and grandkids what the Constitution says. Get involved in what our public schools are teaching our kids. Fire the teaches unions if they get in the way, find a way. God i am rambling. But i had to get this off my mind. Thank you for listening.

Confusing? You bet. There have been way too much to keep up with in the area of unconstitutional law. The Tea Party has definitely got it's work cut out. I for one wouldn't mind hitting the snooze button. So, I'm sure it's easy for politicians to become overwhelmed by constituents, lobbyists and the desire to remain in power. They defiantly need our support.

While most Americans have some familiarity with the federal government, they tend to have far less knowledge about state governments. Our schools frequently teach us about the governments in our own states, yet what we learn about state government does not become as deeply ingrained as what we learn about the federal government or how states affect our constitution.

The media do little to improve our knowledge about the states, not to mention the effort they make to confuse us about our federal bueacracy. With their attention primarily drawn to conflict in the nation's Capitol, the media tend to devote little attention to the politics in our state capitols.

The lack of knowledge about state government is unfortunate because state governments today play a major role in American politics. Certainly, one cannot dismiss the importance of the federal government. The president, Congress, and the Supreme Court routinely address some of the most vital political issues confronting the nation today.

The importance of state governments can be seen by simply noting three facts.
State legislatures produce more laws than the U.S. Congress. Combined, more than 20,000 new laws are passed each year across the states, with an average of more than 400 new laws per state. Congress tends to adopt fewer than 300 laws in a given year.

State governments are large and growing. Their growth has been outpacing that of the federal government for the past several decades. In fact, the expansion of government bureaucracy over the past three decades has come primarily at the state and local level. Look at California. What a monster.

I think it's great that the Tea Parties across the country have started addressing these issues. Thank you.

The Constitution confuses liberals because of their own misconceptions. They've been raised to see government as the prime solver of problems, and that simply isn't a constitutional principle.

Interesting: Mr. Klein clarified himself on a post here.

"The average government worker makes 74,403"

My husband is a government worker...and he makes more than $50,000 LESS than that figure. He works for the Navy as a civilian...and makes LESS than members of the military make...but without the added perks of BAH, COMRATS, and medical (which would cost us $400 a month...far too much to take out of the $2000 a month be brings home, with which we have to pay our $950 a month rent out of.  I've been getting upset lately at all the comments about how much the "average" government worker makes because this is simply not true. The "average" Joe Schmuckateli working as a civilian on base, or mail carrier, the very large base of our government employees are making FAR less than $74,403 annually.  We struggle, but ends meet each month...at the sacrifice of health care.  We could afford it if I chose to go to work and send our children to public school to receive government indoctrination...but ensuring our children learn how to think independently, as well as learning about the Lord, is far more important to us.  We drive older, used cars that my husband maintains as best as he can (we are currently down to 1 vehicle as the transmission is going out in the family van...again), we go without "frills" and live with essentials.  We don't complain (and no, I'm not complaining here).  My point: that figure is deceptive. I would LOVE to know what figures and numbers were used to reach that average. I'm sure there are PLENTY of government employees who make more than that...but to combine the many more who make slaves wages in comparison, the average is deceptive.  I would love to see someone compile a list of the different income brackets and how many government employees are in each income bracket (utilizing government wages alone, not additional income such as spousal income for a combined family/household income).

As offensive as this young reporter is, he's probably right. Some of you would be just as offended if he said, "let's get rid of social security." If he said, let's end the Federal Reserve, in the back of your mind there is a little fear of what would happen. Many don't understand the danger to our sovereignty that the FED poses and how fractional reserve banking has destroyed our economy and the value of our dollar.

As long as the FED is allowed create money from nothing and loan it to our government, our constitution means very little. As long as fractional reserve banking is allowed to create money from nothing, skyrocketing inflation and great depressions will be your future.  With the monetary system we have now, the careful saving of a lifetime can be wiped out in a blink of the eye. This.. is your master. This has to be our number one concern. They own it all through credit because they only make principal, they don't make the money to pay the interest. Through the magic of compounding it's self perpetuating until they own it all.

The 16th amendment is the guarantee you will never escape bondage. President Obama said we need a civilian security force as powerful as our military. I give you the IRS, EPA and the TSA. These type of regulatory agencies keep you at bay while international bankers usher you into a world governance. They already own your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. All we have left is our minds.

Wasn’t there a time when being a member of the House or Senate was a part time job because it only paid a rudimentary amount of money?  We should go back to that.  My rationale is that making it a profession places the members in a mode where they always “have to do something” to justify all the time they spend in DC.  If it became a side job, they would only do the business that is absolutely needed and then go back to their day job. That would reduce the amount of new laws being generated, and greater stability.  Another benefit, they would all rub shoulders with the working class since they would have to work themselves.  The Senate should go back to being voted by state legislatures and not by general election so that they would represent the state and not be a part of the media circus we have seen in recent years.  Obamacare is an example of an out of touch Senate that had total disregard to the negative impact it has on their home state because the represent people like the House and not the state as the founders knew and understood.  They should be able to be gatekeepers protecting their respective state government’s budgets for one thing.

All, and, I mean ALL, political parties in this country need to do some serious purging of anti-American elements within their ranks.   This is necessary for us to survive as a free and sovereign nation of free individuals.    The Democrats and the Republicans have some serious soul searching to do in this regard.   I am not leaving out the Libertarians, the Constitutionalists, the Reform party, or any other group.   We are Americans and we need to start acting like Americans.   What is best for our nation might not necessarily be what is most popular for our particular political party, but, we must do what is best for our nation, as a whole.   This means getting back to the basics of the Constitution and the rule of law.    It does not mean that we need more laws.   We already have way too many laws on the books.   Heck, most lawyers will admit that they do not know all of the many hundreds of thousands of laws that have been enacted.    Just look at the 71,000 plus pages of our income tax code if you need a good example of an overly complicated and incomprehensible mess of legislation.

Simpler is better, even if it does not include a special perk for any of our political preferences.   The Constitution is easily read and understood.  It is not overly complicated and most of your politicians don't even take the time to learn and abide by it.   We need to start holding these morons in political office accountable for their intellectual sloth.    Purge the dead wood and put some folks in office that will do us some good, instead of lining their campaign coffers with our money.

This boy reporter from the Washington Post is obviously a product of our failed educational system. He is incapable of understanding the universal and timeless values and principles clearly expressed in the United States Constitution. It is sad to hear him say in this video that he finds the most important document in America confusing because it was written "more than a hundred years ago".

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
