Context

The Catalogue is used as a supportive tool in global advocacy work conduced at the United Nations.  The Local Government Climate Roadmap was launched in 2007 in Bali, Indonesia during the COP 13. This process runs in parallel to the UN Roadmap to achieve a post-2012 climate agreement – calling for recognition of the important role of cities and towns in climate action.

Our Supporters

As a non-profit association, ICLEI receives financial support for its operations and its programs from a modest membership fee and project funders. ICLEI cooperates with global partners to develop its mission and better serve its Members.

Members are the strongest allies of ICLEI by contributing a yearly membership fee, but also by hosting ICLEI offices, financing events or contributing staff time to projects and activities.

From ICLEI's origins in 1990 a wide variety of international and regional partners has supported our work. This includes global agencies, national and regional governments, academic institutions, non-governmental organizations and other associations.

ICLEI continuously attracts  funders to effectively deliver our programs and campaigns worldwide.

Aim of the City Climate Catalogue

The Copenhagen City Climate Catalogue is the first global collection to centralise facts and figures on community climate action – from targets to achievements.

It has been developed to present a strong case for local governments during the international climate negotiations on a post-2012 global climate agreement. Very successfully used by ICLEI and the City of Copenhagen during the COP15 (15th Conference of the Parties), the next step is toward COP16 in Cancún at the end of 2010.

Mega-cities, small cities, towns, villages and counties - all local governments around the globe, are invited to share their climate change mitigation targets and actions for the municipality (government / corporate) and whole community:

  • Greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets and renewable energy targets
  • Achievements: CO2 emissions reductions, energy savings, switch to renewable energy (RE).

Join the global collection effort! Share your community targets and local climate action data. Flyer available here.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
