Dear Melissa: Bush and Cheney comments were made in what they thought was privacy. Obama's was made directly and deliberately to the public. Do you see a difference now? Further, he is presently President not monarch or dictator -- this was said to impress the public politically.

Valerie, your so good. I did send Melissa a little note, when I read what she said. I think I went to her page so you guys couldn't see it. Then I came back and read what all our members said, so I guess its OK to tell you a little of what I said to her. My first part said: When you want to use a bad word, please put it this way: #@!! or *&%@@ , @!#$% We know many of our leaders say things they shouldn't, they just didn't have the Mother I had raise them. -------- They always show there hand in the end.

I have spent the better part of the last couple of days following threads on a couple of blog sites including this one and I believe your right in your notion that some people enter these sites to incite aggitation rather than promote discourse. They do tend to make themselves self evident and yet oddly I believe they think they really are clever and are getting away with their child like behavior and some how they even believe they are making some sort of point no matter how ubsured they may be. Still, all the same it is irksome, but thats what they are trying to do, to be spoilers and disrupters. Eventualy as power returns to the people of America they will lose their footing and slip away, until then one can only pray that enlightenment will somehow find them.

The tea party movement is open to ALL who believe in what our Founding Fathers fought for. We believe in limited government, personal responsibility and moral leadership. If anyone in this group and on this site does not believe in those things, then you either come here to debate, spy or cause trouble. We will not delete anyone from the site - although we have the power to do so - unless that person becomes an agitator instead of a person with an opposing viewpoint. We reserve the right to determine when that happens.

If there are spies among us, the rest of you will figure it out and let us know when it is time to delete them from the site.
If they are here to agitate and unwilling to listen to the viewpoint of those who respect our Founding Father principles - let us know when it is time to delete them from the site.

This site is for the members of the First Coast Tea Party and we are pleased to provide this site for dialogue and debate -not hate.

Melissa, you're not comparing apples to apples. The comment by George Bush was made privately, though a microphone was turned on, unbeknown to the president. Otherwise, nobody but those two men would have ever heard that remark. In the second remark by Cheney, that was made also in a private, personal conversation, like conversations go on everybody in business settings all across this country between cohorts.

Neither of these men made these comments on national television in an interview. The word "ass" is not a big deal, but it makes the president look sleazy and juvenile. We are looking for a leader - not a school yard kid trying to proof he's tough.

And at what point do you STOP comparing Obama to Bush? If you want to compare the two, I can give you some true similarities - they both have sent troops to Afghanistan including a "surge" in the number of troops on the War on Terror. They both do not believe in same-sex marriage and do not support a Constitutional amendment to allow it. See what I mean?

When fools talk tough, we are in trouble. The administration can't blame Bush any more...although they still try...now they need a new scapegoat...and the talk goes on while the oil spreads. Good grief. God, what did we do to deserve this?

I'm with you Billie, when oh when will people STOP thinking it's OK to show how low they can go??? Just because Hollywood does it , doesn't mean it's OK!!!! In fact, you can almost be sure if they do it or say it, then it's wrong. Oh for the day when godly men and woman return to claim Washington.
