This month, we are going to be doing something a little different. We need to begin holding our congress persons and our senators accountable for what they are doing, so I will have copies of letters for you as well as a list of questions and other related information. I am also looking for suggestions from all of you about your experiences with your representatives and what you think will work or not work (letters, phone calls, visits to their office).
We will also have a discussion about the latest event in one of the schools right here in Jacksonville where a teacher forced a child to write that he “would give up some of his rights for more security”. Something needs to be done or some action needs to be taken about this, and I would like to hear what everyone would like to do.
I will also be bringing in contact lists for our group for some of our members. I plan to be gone twice next month, which will mean several of you will have to take a piece of the meeting and plan together what to do including contacting a speaker of your choosing. Those who wish to take an active part in this planning will be given our phone list, so you can contact other members about the meeting and send out a notice for the meeting when you have your plan finalized. I will hopefully be here enough to help get it listed on the FCTP web site in the event no one has done that (although I think Francisco Acosta knows how to post on the website, so I am hoping he will be involved in the planning of the meeting.)
Light food or not so light sometimes :) will be provided by the members. This is YOUR meeting, so I hope to see you there!
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
