Within the next seven days Common Core Standards legislation will be waiting at the desk of Governor Scott to sign into law, and, our legislators are not listening. We must let our voices be heard
in one accord.
Where: State Capitol on the West side of the Capitol on the steps. Click Here for Map. After the brief rally we will visit the legislators with our message.
Parking:
Klemans parking garage is available for $5.00 for all day parking and is a block from the Capitol building. (Click Here for Map)
The bus access lane on Duval Street (west of the Capitol) is strictly for the unloading of passengers and is not designed for permanent parking. After unloading passengers, drivers may park at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center, located at 505 West Pensacola Street. Please contact the Civic Center at (850) 487-1691 for additional parking information, including rates.
What to Wear: Business Dress or Business Casual. Do not wear any organization's shirts, T-shirts etc. We want to look professional and of one accord. We will be visiting the various offices and want to send the most professional and direct message possible.
What to bring: In a flollow-up email, we will supply you with talking points and a flyer that you may download and print. We are encouraging each person to pass out 160 of these to every Senator and Representative.
What to do: We are encouraging you to go to each legislators offices and pass out literature while letting them know we are asking common core to be disbanded.
How to get around inside the Capitol: An information center is located on the plaza level with maps available to the lawmakers offices. Do not take a lot of time with any legislator or their aides. Your message is the talking points and your flyer.
What not to bring: Do not bring firearms, knives or any other simular objects. You will have to pass through a metal detector as you go through security.
The Press: Do not talk to the press. Please direct them to our communication personal that will be wearing badges.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
