Just a few days ago, I was driving from Ga when I saw a tractor trailer rig slowly passing by. Someone had written in these words in the dirt on the back. "Okay America be stupid and continue to buy everything from China. We'll all be living under a bridge soon."
It made me think that each unemployed person costs something like $230 per week and this money comes from us the tax payers. i'm not suggesting that the unemployment benefits are bad, but it points to the costs we pay to "save by buying cheaper products".
I'm suggesting that we think local, we think smart and work to get our fellow citizens to work again. Some of the tea party members are suggesting they purchase their produce from "USA" grown only. It is time we support our own first! Buy American. What do you think?

I agree Michael. Buy American if at all possible, and buy local when you can. It's a critical time and all Americans need to stick together.
For years, We will not buy un-American produce, but, now, especially with the CA Delta situation-will not buy or eat unless it's American! Only BUY AMERICAN!
Farm Bureau Insurance Offices sell American cheeses, meats, frozen fruits and vegetable, nuts, jellies and jams-check out your local office or come to Macclenny's office. Purchases support local and regional farmers.
This is an excellent topic. I am a tutor, and there are now over 1 million homeless school children.

Here is an interesting video on the subject: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4094926727128068265#
The Obama administration is warning Congress that if it doesn't move to regulate greenhouse gases, the Environmental Protection Agency will take a "command-and-control" role over the process in a way that could hurt business.

We have been business owners since 1984. When I tell people that we are offered incentives to hire illegally, and punished when we refuse they find it hard to believe. When I tell people our open border policies are deliberate they find it hard to believe. Yet if the administration would threaten Congress and the economy of this Country to force their addenda, why would they not open borders to force that same addenda of Globalization (better described as Corporatism)

I come from a long line of ranchers. You may recall farmers and ranchers warning us over 20 years about what was happening. We once fed the world, now the world feeds us contaminated food. What is the consequences if we do not grasp the magnitude of what is so obvious.

We are being squeezed from both ends…shipping factories (jobs) out of the country, while importing millions of workers (legal and illegal) annually. Think of the consequences if we do not reverse this. There are now over one million homeless school children in the U.S., and wages are being driven down. It is not the fault of the immigrant (legal or illegal). They are just as much a Victim as the American born worker (and small business owner).

Recently, I was talking to a HP tech support person in Brazil, and we started talking about how factories were moved from the U.S. to Mexico (NAFTA) with the promise that the people would prosper. They sold their farms to build factories, and were grateful for the new jobs. But it was short lived as they closed factories leaving behind polluted land and water, empty factories, and jobless for cheaper labor elsewhere. The technician told me the same thing was happening in Brazil as they went for cheaper labor in India. I told him the same thing happened in the U.S. He was surprised…you see they think these large international corporations are Americans…you and me.

Not that I agree, but some people tell me that globalization (a One World Governing Power) is needed to solve world issues like pollution and world hunger. However they do agree that large corporations (too big to fail) are taking advantage and turning it into Corporatism using cheaper and cheaper labor (even to the extent of slave and child labor) while polluting and destroying farm land and drinking water in their wake (Exxon Valdese is but a tip of the ice burg).

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
