A summary of the Small Business Group Meeting Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Mike Jackson opened the meeting which was attended by approximately 60-70 people.  LeAnne produced an American Flag for the Pledge of Allegiance.  The flag we used was one that was flown over the
Congress in January.  Mike Jackson led prayer.

There were 5-6 Republican Executive Committee members joining the meeting.

Mike summarized the meeting with the Republican Executive Committee on Monday night.  A lively exchange was made between the tea party members and the Republican representatives.  It appeared that the
REC members wished to hear from the tea party and recognized the energy of the
tea party.  Everyone was excited about the Scott Brown candidacy and his
chances.

One major area for the future may be involving the plan of the REC to have a “listen to me” town hall style meeting with the public.  This may be an opportunity to get our voice heard.

Some of the members raised concern that we were not “doing” things but were coming to meetings to listen to speakers.  The lack of action associated with the pent up frustration and energy is something that
must be managed.  We will address this concern in our next meeting.

Mike made the members aware that some of the members of the party such as Billie, have been carrying an extreme load, and everyone should try to do more.

Larry Scruggs and Carole McManus made announcements and shared some points about the earlier board meeting and the retreat.  Carol explained that a database was being created to match up people, their
locations, and their skills.  She also explained that Billie was not in
attendance because she was being interviewed by “60 Minutes”.

A special guest, Chris Nwasike, the Head Organizer of “Keep God in America” rally gave an impassioned speech and fund raising plea to the members.  His goal of 8 people contributing a minimum of $500 was made.

So little time was left, that the main speaker of the event, graciously agreed to come back to the next meeting to present issues regarding the Constitution, its history (how we have gotten to this place), and the law.

Everyone was challenged to invite at least one person to the next meeting.

We will provide an agenda for the next meeting.

We will involve the members in sessions to decide what we should be doing, who is to do it.

I’m sure that I left off a few things and this was only intended to carry the flavor of the meeting and hopefully create interest in our meeting from the people who did not attend.

Separately, I have had several telephone calls from members of the REC, who did not attend the meeting, but have heard that we are a strong group and they are thankful for our presence.  We (We the People) were
recognized as the reason Scott Brown won in Massachusetts.  We are being
recognized.  Thank you for your attendance, and your spirit.

Overall, it was a good meeting. I liked the enthusiam and the unwillingness to just sit and listen to speakers.
It's time to get this ball rolling with some serious action. I am not the one doing the planning, so I'll wait until the agenda is layed out, but I will have more input soon.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
