It is nice to meet someone who knows what a "Cottonbaler" is! So how long were you at Ft Stewart? My training team was TDY there for the summer of '93 training the South Carolina National Guard. I was there in 2002 when the Third ID left for Iraq for the first time and stayed thru the second deployment in 2003..My ex was in both deployments but came back from the second one after only six weeks because he was shot by a sniper. I then spent six months at Walter Reed nursing him back to health...we got home and divorced within just a few months after all that and I came home to Jacksonville! (thank the Lord! LOL) I do not know about the March 2 meeting..where it is or anything. I was planning on going to the event on Saturday.

Sounds like coming back home to Jacksonville was a big relief for you! I was impressed that you stood by him during his recovery. Sorry about the big D. Been there. I missed the event Saturday, did you attend? I was planning to attend the meeting this Thursday but it was rescheduled for the 16th. Looking forward to that one. Hope to see you there!
