An inability to secure a rock hard win in his home state of Pennsylvania prompted Rick Santorum to pull out today. Santorum has maintained and just reiterated  last week that he was opposed to pulling out under any circumstances. But alas, the strong possibility of losing in his home state proved too much, leaving his prospects for the presidency unfulfilled.
