ICYMI: RUBIO CALLS OUT PRESIDENT'S SOCIAL SECURITY SCARE TACTICS

"If they don’t get their Social Security checks, it’s because the President’s decided to do that, because we still have revenue coming in. ... I think people are going to be shocked to learn the real truth about what the government’s done with their Social Security money."

Sen. Rubio: People Are Going to Be Shocked to Learn the Real Truth About What the Government’s Done With Their Social Security Money

Hugh Hewitt: “Senator Rubio, you represent a lot of senior citizens in Florida. The country knows that. I think it’s despicable to scare them this way. What’s your reaction to the President’s threat to hold their Social Security checks hostage?”

Sen. Rubio: “Well, if they don’t get their Social Security checks, it’s because the President’s decided to do that, because we still have revenue coming in. Here’s the other thing I would say. If in fact the President holds up their checks for Social Security, and Medicare, and whatever else he wants to hold up to make his point, isn’t he admitting that all these programs are funded by deficit spending? Isn’t he admitting that all these programs are dependent upon borrowed money?

“And I think the folks who are on Social Security, people like my mom, would be shocked to learn the truth that the money that they’re receiving in Social Security isn’t the money they worked hard for all these years to put away, the government was going to give back to them in their retirement. The government spent all that money already. They spent it long ago on other things. This is borrowed money. This is money that we’re borrowing from our children and our grandchildren. And I think people are going to, if that happens, I think people are going to be shocked to learn the real truth about what the government’s done with their Social Security money.”

Sen. Rubio: This Issue of the Debt Limit Didn’t Sneak Up On Us

Hugh Hewitt: “Do you think the negotiations that he had lured Republicans into over the last couple of weeks have been in bad faith?”

Sen. Rubio: “Well, I wasn’t in those negotiations, so I’d hate to characterize something I wasn’t a part of. Let me say that he was late to the game.

“First of all, the President, this is not a new issue, okay? This issue of the debt limit didn’t sneak up on us. This has been around for a while. We knew this was coming. And then the President’s done nothing on it. He gave a state of the union speech this year, never mentioned any plans about how to address this. He offered a budget before Congress, and the budget was so bad, I mean, it actually increased the debt. His budget was so bad, so unrealistic, that when we put it to a vote here in the Senate, not even a single Democrat voted for it. That’s how bad it was. It didn’t get a single vote.

“So he’s had multiple opportunities to deal with this, and he’s kind of punted and moved the ball along, and focused on other things. And now, with three weeks to go, two weeks to go, all of a sudden, he wants to ride in and act like he’s leading. Well, he’s not leading. In fact, what he’s doing is he’s trying to position this as a political issue, so he can claim victory for his 2012 election. But the reality of it is that people know better, they’re going to realize it, we’re going to continue to talk about it.”

No matter who you elect to go to Washinton, D.C., they are going to contract "Potomac Fever" and develope a resistance to acting against Social Security, Medicare, and the moocher gifts, medicaid, food stamps, section 8 housing, wix, etcetera, etcetera, ad infinitum, ad nauseum.  Just do not fund the programs and pink slip the "government grifters".  Churches are given tax breaks for this.  Heartfelt charity, give to your favorite.  But the ACLU hates religion and its churches and wants to secularize charity to be given over to government agencies in the "we're from the government and we're here to help you...".  The rest of us would purchase our medical insurance and our retirement insurance.  Make saving 5% of a person's wages the minimum, but no maximum.  Roth IRA's should be the way of the day.  Anything but Social InSecurity!  Keep the government out!  of lives, personal finances, etc.

Our republican form of democracy is like a healthy cell that is surrounded by all different types of other biomass.  Some are friendly and some aren't. some are unfriendly because their metabalism dictates to them that our cell is food.  These for the most part are easily recognizable and through the millenia we have standard defenses against they're doing us harm.  There are those others though, that are camoflauged to the extent we can't always distinguish them in our midst.  These are the most dangerous and the most insidious.  In societal exercizes we refer to these cancer like diseases as "agents provocqueteur".  Their mission is to destroy any valid discussions in any fashion possible; disruption extrordinaire.

My personal Federal direction is to stop spending by keeping the debt ceiling intact.  This creates a pressure within a confined space.  There was enough money budgeted, but Hussein spent it all like the purpose driven enemy he is.  The working people who have kept their domestic budgets intact and inline are going to be the objects of the liberals devices again, taking away the mortgage interest deduction off our taxable income deductions.  Saving these from the ax will truly be no new taxes.  No raising of the taxes.  Make the executive branch do its job.  Hussein has not once submitted any plan; especially one laying off federal employees.  The rolls are filled with duplicated jobs, interferring duplicated jobs, assinine jobs, token jobs, political spoil jobs.  Stop this by not raising the debt ceiling and not impuning more, new taxes.  Trim, trim, trim!!!

amanda what part of we paid into SS and Medicare do you NOT comprehend!  I began when I was 15 years old and that was some time ago.  Lyndon Johnson signed a bill to use that money for his welfare programs you know the ones where the father is only around to impregnate his baby momma and eat the food that's supposed to be for her and her young children while she's making more babies to stay on the government dole in her government housing...

Patricia, dearie, I will speak up so as you can hear. No one pretends that my money will be used to provide healthcare in my senior years. The math simply doesn't work. Social security payments will begin later and be smaller, if at all. So why do I have to pay in for all of those who didn't bother to look at the math and just assumed someone else would naive enough to pay in and cover their butts while they were never willing to properly fund programs they found so important? Why? And this didn't happen overnight, this was known and discussed as early as the 1968 election, shortly before I was born. But no one ever wanted to either pay for the program or end the program, so now, eyes wide open I am expected to pick up the tab and send the unpaid portion to my children. No thanks. I will take care of myself and my family. I suggest you do the same. But at least you could do me the favor of being quiet while I pay for you to live as the last generation who milks this country dry, with the audacity to decry government spending while you do it. The hypocrisy.

And go ahead and push your dislike button all you like but the bottom line is this, the politicians in DC who you align with on this isn't Allen West, Marco Rubio, Bachmann. it is Pelosi, Frand and Reid. You want your cake and to eat it too, And my cake, and my kids cake.....No thanks.

Amanda, I am "entitled" through "equity".  This "equity" was forcibly taken from me by your government.  I will fight for my property.  You have my permission to give all of your monies to the government.  You are free to do so, as far as I'm concerned.  They took my money and promised to provide a benefit for that money of mine they took.  You reminded me of a situation whereby I might take on Erik Holder again, and beat him again.  I thank you for that.  Would you look up on weslaw or whatever and check; wasn't the Bill Gates Microsoft case after one of mine?  You do know I had two cases heard in Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson's court at the Prettyman bFederal Courthouse.  You're such a silly girl.

Amanda, dear, social security and the  other 2 programs should never appear together.  Money was forceably taken for social security, because we after all were not trusted to save for our retirements, and therefore, the all knowing government, decided we had to be forced to do so and deducted money from our paychecks.  It was not a choice thing at all, and the money was to be safeguarded for us.  Hardly our fault the crooks in Washington saw how much money was in the lockbox (actually Nancy Pelosi exclaimed that there was a huge sum that could be tapped to help with the financial ills of a war we were involved in).  So they "borrowed", and then, they "borrowed" some more, and now all that is left are the IOUs which are about as useless as a tit on a bull.  I understand that the word entitlement is bandied about now that they want to make cuts or even attempt to relieve themselves of paying money back to the people who paid in the most at all, but the truth is, it is NOT an entitlement.   Medicare unfortunately had money collected for it as well.  We now want to make sure those who never paid into either program are taken care of and leave many of those who paid in the largest amount holding an empty sock!  It is hardly a liberal thing to call out thieves and a corrupt government and don't quite understand you stance that we, who have been robbed of huge sums of money, are the villians in this?

So Durwhine, The three programs you think that should be protected no matter what, Social Security, Medicare and the mortgage tax deduction, and I am the liberal. Those words have been repeated by Barney Frank so often that I though it was his slogan.

Your definition of liberal is someone who wants the government to provide for them. My definition of a liberal is an ex-union boss, who expects that the government take care of him.

All of the other clutter you yammer about is pure angry rant, go ahead get it off your chest, buth te bottom line is this; When I read the news, watch the news or listen to the news, the ONLY people supporting the views you espouse here regarding Social Security, Medicare and the Mortgage Tax Deduction, is Pelosi, Frank, Reid, et al. That is fine if that is your position, you are entitled to any belief you want, but you are no Conservative, you just are selfish and angry. And the fact is you are blaming the wrong party.

The Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (GLB), also known as the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999.  This is the instrument of destruction that started it all.  It was easier to purchase a house than rent.  Appeal?  "Flip" it for a profit with nothing invested.  Buy several.  No documentation or proof of income necessary.  Congress passed this.  Not a TEA PARTY CONGRESS!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
