The U.S. Congress is in recess for the next two weeks. That means your federal legislators are out of hectic Washington, DC and back home in their communities. Their time at home is an excellent opportunity for you—their constituents—to contact them about important issues, and that is why I’m writing to you today.
As you may know, Representative Frank Wolf (VA) has introduced H. Res. 36, legislation that would create a special short-term (90 day) congressional committee to investigate what happened in Benghazi last September 11th when a U.S. Ambassador and three other Americans were killed, and many others injured.
While much discussion of the attack continues to occur on Capitol Hill, there are still many important unanswered questions. A short-term committee would have more of a chance to get to the bottom of what transpired in Benghazi. We at ACT! for America support this approach. In fact, we support it so much that H. Res. 36 was the first piece of legislation placed on our High Priority list for the 113th Congress.
The American people clearly want answers about what happened in Benghazi. I recently delivered an ACT! for America Open Letter to Congressional Leadership in support of Rep. Wolf’s legislation. In just a few weeks, the document was signed by over 23,000 people. And due to popular demand, we have returned the letter to our website for this week only, in order to allow more concerned Americans to add their names. (If you have not already done so, please sign the letter today!)
We are pleased to see that many Members of the U.S. House of Representatives already have supported Rep. Wolf’s Benghazi bill by signing on as cosponsors. Unfortunately, there are still some legislators who have yet to do so—legislators who should know better.
Those Representatives need to hear from you, their constituents, and we need your help with that today.
** Important Action Item **
The following are some Representatives in your state who have NOT cosponsored Rep. Wolf’s Benghazi bill, H. Res. 36. Please contact their offices at one of the numbers listed below TODAY to ask that they support the legislation as a cosponsor as soon as possible. (NOTE: H. Res. 36 is NOT the same as H. R. 36. Please be sure to identify the legislation accurately to avoid confusion.)

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
