We all need to be thankful of Amanda's never-ending spewing of the Duval Labor Council's propaganda commie red-left-red commentary.  "The National Guard is Against it" is only accurate of the full time, career top brass.  The other 99% of citizen-soldiers have and keep their family's arms lockers ready to travel.  Amanda and her seminary writers are brown-shirted, lock stepped with the Soros owned white house.  Be certain to remind her when the currency is ruined and the replacement is third-world bartering.  I forgive her; it is in the Spirit of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Crist , who has Risen, to do so.

E.A. there is nothing that prevents someone with a carry permit from doing so now. This bill extends that privilege to all. Bad idea.

If an individual is a law-abiding citizen with an approved carry permit, there should be no reason he or she should not be allowed to take the weapon with them if ordered to evacuate. Gun owners get carry permits to protect themselves from criminals and looters, not to wield them against innocent people or National Guardsmen. I see no reason why there is any dispute over this bill. It should be a given that a person with a legal carry permit can take their gun with them when evacuating.

The Florida National Guard is against it. Not a bunch of weak kneed libs, the guys who show when the whooie hits the fan. His men and women would pretty much have to assume that everyone approaching them is packing. 

My brother serves in the Guard. He is no jack booted thug who wants to steal your liberties, he is a man who wants to go home to his kids after leaving his family to protect yours. This bill is stupid and serves no one. We have good responses to these disasters not because we consider everyone a threat, but because we pitch in and help each other. I hate the mentality of this bill. It says we are each and everyone, in it alone, don't come aound. Paranoia will distroy ya.

As long as it was not gutted it will be a good thing. But if something like Katrina came happen in Florida, I will batten down the hatches and stay put.

I cannot find the document on the Fl. State site. Will look for it again,,each day until I find it. I will also email a couple folks and see if they know.... Will update here when I find the answer. As it was voted on today it may just not be up yet..

All I could see was the yea/nay vote.  This was the 3rd committee..

This is election year for Sheriffs in this state, and this SHOULD BE the pivotal question on who you vote for.  The Sheriff is the most singular power wielding position in LOCAL government; this determines how critical this SB296 passage is.  Do not vote for an active member of the "FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION".  To do so would be the effective equivilant to putting Hillary is this position.
