ACTION NEEDED TODAY: DREAM ACT IS A NIGHTMARE

Harry Reid is grasping at straws and doing everything he can to attach Illegal Amnesty to a Department of Defense reauthorization bill. This is nothing more than underhanded progressive tactics and Harry needs to lose this one. The act would give UNDOCUMENTED immigrant students who have been living in the US since they were young an opportunity to go to college or join the military. This will offer them a path to citizenship.

Okay - this sounds good and wholesome yet it is still illegal. When we push our nose under the tent, it allows for the arms and legs to get in the tent too. This is only a tactic to get more voters on the liberal ticket.

We heard that Florida Senator George LeMieux is considering voting Yes to this Dream Act. WHY??????

Liberty Central has a Call to Action on this bill and they have made it easy for you to Get Active Now. Go to:

We want everyone who wants to be an American citizen to do it the right way. Attaching this illegal amnesty bill to the Department of Defense reauthorization bill is just plain wrong!

That is why we have Tea Party and concerned citizens. We have started and we need to continue to make congress responsible to us, to represent us and to represent the will of the American people.

This is great it has created debate which is what Harry Reid did not want with his bill. We all learn when we talk and debate in a sincere and honest effort to bring forth a reasonable solution then a reasonable resolution will be the result. I still say that it was not the DTDA bill that did him in (I would have said end because I think Harry Reid is the south end of a Jackass) however debate will bring about the best result. See we are educating and beinging reasonable discussion to each other. Thank all of you who have responded I enjoyed it. It may not change my mind but at least I have a respect for you because you care.

One more thing, for those eligible LEGAL non-citizens who do enlist, there are accelerated citizenship procedures for active duty.

John the " non citizens " you speak of have requirements to be eligible to join the military, one of which is LEGAL status. These people are not ILLEGALS.They are here and have joined legally through legal channels. The DREAM act has nothing to do these "40,000 people" that you have mentioned.
"A non-citizen that is eligible to join the military must meet certain requirements: (1) Have an Alien Registration Receipt Card (stamped I-94 or I-551 Green card/INS Form 1-551), (2) Have a bona fide residence established, and (3) Have established a record of the U.S. as their home. Some non-citizens from countries with a reputation of hostility towards the U.S. may also require a waiver. The federal government cannot petition on behalf of an illegal immigrant so that they can obtain legal status and be able to enlist in the military. In order for an immigrant to join the United States military, they must first go through the immigration process of the USCIS (previously known as the INS) and then and then begin the enlisting process. Another requirement is that the Green Card and/or visa if the immigrant desiring to join the military must be valid for the entire period of their enlistment. "

The current stalemate of the Department of Defense reauthorization bill is a result of Harry Reid adding the "Dream Act" onto the bill. I do not think that the Don't Ask, Don't Tell was the major reason for this bill not going to the floor for a vote. Harry Reid wanted his immigration amnesty bill passed that is why he proposed it with no debate. His thinking is that congress would not defeat the DOD bill because it funds the military and therefore without debate he could underhandedly get his amnesty bill passed. I don't think that Don't Ask, Don't Tell was that big of a issue on this bill.

Yea, I just called again and the lady I talked to said that she believes he is not going to vote in favor of the dream act.

Please Please
Harry Reid is using the military as a smokescreen to try to pass illegal immigration amnesty. This is wrong and we need your help to stop them, TODAY!

Go here to tell your Senator to vote NO on the DREAM Act Amendment!

The DREAM Act, which Reid plans to offer as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act this week, will prohibit the deportation of any illegal alien over the age of 11 who is enrolled full time in primary or secondary school, and grant temporary work authorization to these illegal immigrants. The DREAM Act will also grant a conditional green card to any illegal alien under the age of 35 who claims to have come to the U.S. before age 16 and who obtains a high school diploma or GED. The green card becomes permanent if they complete two years of higher education or military service within six years.
This is Unconstitutional please do not let this happen. It is not fair to the people that have gone by the book and played by the rules. Think of the legal mess we are headed for.

Got through to the local office number and while the assistant said he is getting lots of calls, she was not able to tell me if the majority of calls were in favor of or asking for opposition to the "DREAM" act. She also said that he had not made up his mind how he would be voting.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
