If you didn’t turn your clocks back last night, you are one of the lucky ones! You just now realized you have been given one more hour of time and what a precious gift that is.

I had a long day under the covers yesterday. I wasn’t feeling well and the chill in the air kept me on the couch with fuzzy blankets, a snuggling cat, and a day of watching movies in between much needed sleep. I turned on the television and Back to the Future was showing and for some reason I landed on that station and stayed there. It was a melancholy time as I thought about the first time I saw that movie with my young children of 5 and 6 who are now grown and married.

The first film tells the story of Marty McFly, a teenager in 1985 who is accidentally sent back in time to 1955. He befriends his parents in high school, uncomfortably attracting his mother's romantic interest. Marty must fix the damage to history that his appearance back in time has caused. He must get his parents to fall in love again and the only way to do it is to get them on the dance floor at the prom where the magical kiss that helped them fall in love must take place.

If they do not kiss, Marty and his brother and sister will not exist and history will have changed forever. As Marty waits for his parents to kiss, he is playing a guitar and watching a picture of his family little by little change through the disappearance of his brother, his sister and finally Marty is about to disappear too. At the last minute, they kiss and the family is restored and renewed and Marty finds his way back to the future.

As I watched his family disappearing in that photo, I thought of America. Strange, I know…but that’s me. I always look for signs and this one showed up.

This past Tuesday, Election Day, we were given time. Had the people not stood up, rallied against tyranny, and voted for the Republic – the America we know and love might have disappeared. Because we did stand up, we have time to regain our standing in the world and regroup as a nation.

There is a lot of work to do. Tuesday did not signal the end of the fight. It was just one battle and there will be many more. Those who wanted the Republic to die are not going away quietly. They believe in their mission as much as we believe in ours.

As the new Congress takes the keys (and the mallet) from the old, our job is to hold them accountable to the seats we gave them. History was made last Tuesday night and we will continue to make history as we hold them accountable – an idea very new in America and something very needed!

How can we do that? We have our ideas and we are anxious to hear from you. Let us know what you think needs to be done to hold Congress accountable and list them below. We will capture your ideas and along with others, we will have the blueprint for our recovery.

We’re not OUTATIME and it will take all of us pulling together with our talents, expertise and our personal, devoted time to take us back to our future.

Patrica I am happy that Rubio won. I am sad that at each election I have to choose the candidate that stinks the least not the candidate that I really am behind 100%. I'm sorry if I send mix signals. I very much agree with the you, Valerie, Sandy and Alfred. Work with Bachman, Boehner and any one else that takes up our cause or has the same goals. This Rubio & Harvey Ruvin thing is just fresh in my mind because a good friend has given his all to go down south and fight this battle at great personal peril. I need to focus on the issue at hand which is; think about how to have a real impact on what is happening in front of my face. Not to loose any of this momentum and do the right thing with our recent success. Transparency leads to accountability which leads to either rewards or the boot. How do we proceed?

Sandy, I agree with everything you have said. I think that the republicans are going to have to hold the senate accountable to as McConnell has said they didn't agree to no earmarks (foolish man). If a bill comes through with no earmarks, I suppose they plan to add them and send the bill back to the house? I hope not as it won't pass if they do, and we will have to stay on top of that little issue.

Sandy, I love the idea of an amendment that requires showing constitutionality of any law!! I've heard others speak of that in the past few months and I think it is definitely an idea whose time has come. What's sad to me, though, is that you will have Americans who don't care if a law is constitutional or not. They WANT America to become socialist. Like you said, education is the key! People who are for socialism have never lived under it and have never been shown what socialism (which is nothing more than veiled communism) does to a nation and its people.

Patricia, I agree that there is much to be repaired, but in truth, there are not a lot of avenues available to undo much of the major damage that has been done (other than withholding funding) without holding a majority in both houses of Congress and the Presidency, or at least there is a large enough majority in Congress to override a presidential veto. Until then, I want to make sure that no more unconstitutional legislation gets passed that has to be undone in the future. Term limits, no earmarks, a balanced budget, and so many of the other things mentioned below are possible, but overturning legislation that has already been passed into law requires more than we have now, and I think new legislation should be constitutionally justified before passage. That should be the standard by which everything is measured.

We now have major players in government with Bachman, and Boehner for a start. We need to take the time to support them, and continue to drowned the others that do not get the message like (Pelosi, Reid, and Obama) that still think they know what's best. It is the time for the Tea Party to prevail. If the Old Republicans that don't get on board, they will have to gotten rid of eventually, too.
We need to demand :
Term Limits, no earmarks, no exemptions or exceptions for any gov officials for any type of healthcare plan, etc. All of the gov. should be included, per the Constitution.
Balanced budget, accountability, and total transparency of the bills, and the budget totally.
Cuts across the board, possibly 10% to start for gov. or going back to atleast to the
2007 budget. Get rid of the excess. Keep the focus, educate, and challenge others to educate, vs. opinuate. Verify, and be persistant. We are making headway, consistancy, and persistance is the key and a must.

John, Rubio has been elected as our senator. Would you have preferred Crist or maybe even the democrat Meek? I guess I am having a hard time understanding how you feel so bad about howit turned out?

Sandy, so many things the congress and senate have passed already are uncontitutional, how do you go back which is what I want. I want these feds involved in only those things the constitution says are the duties of the fed. Not education, not the epa, not the fcc, not the .... you get the idea?

I believe that we need to define to what extent we are going to go along with the Republican agenda. I joined the Tea Party because I was very disillusioned with the republican party. Even though Marco Rubio got elected I still see him as very dangerous. He has voted in favor of some anti gun legislation, he is tied to the Harvey Ruvin and the stealing of private property in Dade county.

I had heard it mentioned a few weeks ago by a Congressman or Senator (I don't recall who it was) that Congress should be required to state - in every bill submitted - where exactly it is shown in the Constitution that this bill would be authorized. I think we should take a stand in favor of this requirement and educate the public about it. This is not saying "no" - it is saying it cannot be done because it is not constitutional. I also think there needs to be a national educational focus on what are the actual rights of State government versus the actual rights of the Federal government. Getting truthful information out to the general public is critical.

Valarie, I have no doubt the republicans are going to do every single thing they can and try things they know will not fly. They have ideas on how to do a few things they know the pres will veto. Truthfully, I would attach the health care repeal to every bill I sent him. Then, he couldn't say they weren't getting anything done, but he in turn would veto everything making him look like the reason nothing was getting done :). Certainly, the repeal fo the health care bill and doing something about the Bush tax cuts are high on the list for them.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
