Support Chick-fil-A today!!!!!!!! I hear that the lines started early this morning all over Jacksonville. Time to get out and support them..When did it NOT become okay for any business to state their postion on their companies values??

Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas and Fox News host, has had enough of what he called the "vicious hate speech and intolerant bigotry" aimed at Chick-fil-A.
On his Facebook page, Huckabee announced that Aug. 1 will be "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day," a day on which he is encouraging people to patronize the fast food chain.

The former presidential candidate is upset that the fast food chicken chain has been the target of criticism in the wake of Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy's saying last week that his company supports "the biblical definition of the family unit."
The National Organization for Marriage, a group organized to oppose same-sex marriage, called him a "corporate hero for marriage," while others were quick to condemn his comments.
Boston Mayor Thomas Menino even went so far as to tell the Boston Herald that "Chick-fil-A doesn’t belong in Boston."
"You can’t have a business in the city of Boston that discriminates against a population," he said, according to the Herald. "We’re an open city, we’re a city that’s at the forefront of inclusion."
And on Friday, the Jim Henson Company, the group behind "The Muppets" and "Fraggle Rock," released a statement saying it has "notified Chick-fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors." Jim Henson's "Creature Shop" toys are currently available in the company's kid's meals.
Huckabee further explained the purpose of his pro-Chick-fil-A campaign on his Facebook Page:
The goal is simple: Let's affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick Fil-A on Wednesday, August 1. Too often, those on the left make corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm traditional values, we're considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant.
State Sen. Dan Patrick (R-Texas) and the group Concerned Women for America have promoted the event, which is not affiliated with Chick-fil-A.

Good luck with that! It ain't gonna happen -- not in this day and age! People get married too quickly and do not take the time to really get to know the other person. There is something to be said for a extended courtship to avoid making a big mistake that either person would regret.

Amanda, I agree. Divorce is a direct assault on marriage. Interesting point. I believe in Cathy's freedom to speak his opinion. Now I have to wonder how many of the customers at CFA today who are 'in support of traditional family values' were divorced?

I don't seek to "decry" divorce, I want it eliminated. No separations, no time off, no divorce. Not in this country.

Yeah Lee, you are doing the right thing, but we must protect marriage from those who would weaken it through divorce.

I have been married to my one and only wife for 42 years. I don't have to meet at Chik-fil-a in order to support traditional marriage and decry divorce. I live by my values.

So lets all meet at Chik-fil-a this Saturday night, and support traditional marriage, and urge Mr. Cathy to support the end of divorce, forever. Til death us do part....

I believe that if you allowed gays to get married, they would stop calling them gay and call them the bummed-outs or whatever. No to gay marriage, we must protect traditional marriage. It is what has made our country strong. So I say NO TO DIVORCE. No more divorces, you get married, you bloody well stay married. We must protect marriage. And the marriage ceremony ityself says, "what God as joined, let no man put asunder."
So let's get a state law pushed through the house and senate abolishing divorce forever in the state of Florida.
I think divorce is a bigger threat to marriage than is gay marriage.

I have long supported Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-a. I find it amusing that the Gay Gestapo (courtesy of Rush Limbaugh) has decided to target Chick-fil-a. The radical gay community should remember to pick their political battles more carefully. The national show of support for Chick-fil-a is a reminder to the radical gay community there are an overwhelming number of Amercians who still believe in traditional family values and do not support their extremist political agenda.

It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening!
