That is funny Ken.  I was a registered independent my whole life (and in my heart of hearts I think I still am).  I do get upset with the republican party over some of what they do, and I am not quiet about it either.  As an independent, I don't think I had the opportunity to take action I do with as a republican, so I have not changed my status back, but after being an independent for so long...........I do tend towards being just that..independent and a free thinker.

And Helen, I agree with Leanne, NICE write up!  The Landing was great and was pleased for the show of support Romney got.

Amen to Helen, may we all use our energy to try and  make things better for our children and Grands. Opinions are many but unless they result in real action that is all they are, opinions. They will not serve to move the country ahead. Have a great Labor Day everyone and I hope to see you all out there serving your cause. We need Poll Watchers/Workers, Candidate Researchers, folks to work phone banks, folks to walk and knock on doors, help with the Pastor Outreach project, folks involved in  Community Meetings. Turn your energy into action somewhere.  No need to reply :)

Ken Stump... I disagree with your comment. You can't deny that we have a primary to select the best qualified candidate, correct, our chance to select who has the best qualifications, articulate, smart, good personality etc...Mitt Romney meet the qualifications or the most qualified candidate among the other candidates. Cum-laude graduate in Harvard law School, Governor, Olympic, and a businessman. Let's go over...1). Cain came up on top once until someone exposed his character. 2). Rick Perry, stater and can not remember his agenda, Mr Oops. 3). Gingrich, the smatest among the groups but he have his own difficulty on his backgounds, devorced his bed ridden cancer wife. 4) Ric Santorum, have his own problem, he could have stayed on the race till the end. 5). Tim pawlenty, didn't get on the first base, first one to drop the race. 6). Ron Paul, stayed until the end, but not even close with Mitt Romney. My question for you is that; are those people who voted for Mitt Romney are wrong?. It's Ron Paul who can not accept defeat, he keep trying and trying. I suggest that; just let it go, let him retire, the guy is 75 years old, let him enjoy his remaining golden life. If you dont want to support the Republican party, then, support his son Rand Paul. Maybe in 2016, we can fine a young articulate, smart to continues Ron Paul's vision. Adios. Hey... Please go and watch the movie 2016. Or go to you tube, watch Barack Hussein Obama.

Patricia -- Thanks to everyone who went and supported the presidential and vice-presidential nominees, it shows unity and enthusiasm towards the task at hand. And it was fun!

I believe it would be wise for those who truly want to defeat the incumbent president to stop engaging in the never-ending dialogue that seems to happen here... it always comes back to the candidate who lost the primaries...  Let's not forget even his son endorsed the now-candidate!  ( I am not writing his name anymore...)  The time spent arguing is energy which could be used to do some good.

There are those who are angry their choice didn't win.  That is life.  Move on.

We only have two months to defeat Obama... to those who are intent on doing so, keep up the good work.  And don't let a certain few drag you down, they have nothing else to do apparently....

Ken, insulting me doesn't change anything. I am not any such thing. What I said is my opinion of this crap. It is why I left one group, because I just got sick of this garbage. For over 3 presidential elections, a group of people who have one candidate. They don't consider anyone else, and they only just have to scrape off one bumper sticker from the last election and replace it with the new one. Same talking points; same everything. You folks with the huge principles problem, let me ask you, where were all of you when all of this garbage that got us in the mess we are in? Were you doing what everyone else was doing ........ thinking our elected officials were being good guys and taking care of us? I really don't care what you do, but I am really, really sick of hearing about it. This is a blog that was to inform people about Romney coming to the Landing..........and yet again, it has been turned into the Ron Paul fan club. You guys are like the nut jobs that were across from the Landing yesterday screaming like banchies for Obama (all 5 of them that the TU said were 40............geeeez).

Ron Paul's supporters, don't be a LOSER. Get over it, accept defeat, because right now, nothing will changed. Please, I ask you to watch the movie 2016 Obama's America. Or go to" YouTube". Don't be a loser...get over it. Hey I'll tell what... I voted for Ron Paul in 2008 Primary. Not this time.

If consevatism cannot win an election by honestly promoting itself, then who wants it. Win and then betray those who voted for by doing something other than you promised?
The reason conservatives cannot win elections is because thsy are not honest about their positions. People see through that.

UGH, no one slapped Ron Paul supporters in the face unless you are talking about the majority that did not vote for him and did vote for Mitt Romney. GEEEEZ I'm sorry your guy lost the primary, but my guy didn't win the primary either. We go with the person the majority voted for and get behind them because we need to get the man who is destroying our country gone and get someone who has the business experience to fix the economy and begin fixing the debt and the mess DC is in. It is called being a sore loser Roma. It isn't called suffering at the hands of the RNC when the majority does not vote for the candidate you support. But this is how you Ron Paul supporters are, and it never ends. But you not only don't want to admit your guy lost, now you want to sway people over to throw the election for Romney with you. You really need to grow up and face the fact your guy lost the primary......................get over it!

I understand Amanda, but we can't change everything in one election. Ron Paul is too old & is retiring, he's NOT on the ticket. We must re-introduce the meaning of Conservationism, but that will NOT be possible if Obama is left in office. WE MUST BE UNIFIED, support those who are working for Conservatism, and Ron Paul is not the only one. Rand Paul and other "young lions" need our support & votes, and the turn around of this country starts with the removal of Obama. I don't understand how anyone, who TRULY understands the Obama threat, can not understand that he MUST be stopped . This is an election like no other. And if Obama stays in office, the country will flip and become a majority governmental reliant country. I agree Isirio! YES Amanda, those entitlements (except SS#) shouldn't be here & are poncy schemes, & R & R DO know that, but they won't win an election to stop Obama by promoting that we end the entitlements, once in office, Conservative must continue to reform, shrink, turn entitlements into free market choices-they've talked about this already with Medicare. But if Obama stays in, too many people will be on entitlements- we'll NEVER end them. The People did NOT vote Ron Paul on the ticket. I know the deal about some of his votes not being counted, but even with those, he wouldn't have had enough to win. You can't change that. We stop O, start with R & R, and in steady steps, continue to educate the public & move this country towards truer & truer Conservatism. Rand Paul will continue that work, unless WE stop him by NOT stopping O.

This is the problem of the Republican party, no unity and they can not accept defeat. A bunch of sore losers. One example is Charlie Crist, Gary Johnson and Ron Paul. Ron Paul has been trying to become a president of the United States for the third time. Same agenda, same messages, "Liberty, Constitution, and small government".) Are we all have the same message to the American people?. If the Majority of the American people received and believed him, he should have been a President on his 1st, 2nd or his third try. I wonder what's look like on the dinning table on Paul's house. Rand Paul is brilliant straight forward guy, supported by the people while Ron Paul (dad) is still trying and keep trying. He should endorse Romney for the sake of his SON. (Rand Paul). Adios.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
