I don't think this is a time for any dissent, the most important thing at hand is to get rid of Obama.
Romney was never my first choice and it is a given that not all FCTP members support him. The overriding question for all Tea Party members is, "How are we going to force the political power elite to give in to our demands?"
No one gives up power without a fight. The Tea Party struggle is still in its infancy and the solution is to set long term goals and objectives that will achieve success. Who is going to set those goals and objectives and who is going to provide the leadership?
Meanwhile, the political power elite is going to do everything in its power to defeat the Tea Party or failing that, try to marginalize it. Look what happened at the Republican Party Convention with the rule change. That was power politics in action.
Very well put Roma and Tom. My sentiments exactly --- EXCEPT (just joking!).
Ken, I never have a problem with anyone disagreeing with me or with anyone else. My skin is as thick as rhinoceros hide. And no, your Samuel Adams quote does not apply to me despite your quoting it. All I am saying is that in a forum like this, people should be civil to each other during any discsussion. Being civil does not imply agreement or disagreement with any position. It is simply being polite.
Looking forward to Saturday! We need to work our way back to the Constitution. We know the route will be rough. Going to the left with our current leader is not that path. It's a European path that will continue to take away more and more of our freedoms. I may not agree with everything Romney/Ryan represent, but it's a stark contrast to Obama/Biden. I will support them against the radical left. The Tea Party needs to continue being a presence with a positive message that attracts the like minded to make us stronger. Let's not be angry with one another. Let's continue to be the building blocks. We will not win every battle, but we will learn from our mistakes and take corrective action. I salute my fellow patriots that stand and face adversity with a smile. Keep the wind at your back! We will persevere. We will win. Hang in there!
Roma and Tom, I do not recall seeing what I referred to as "rabid" comments from either of you. Yes, I do understand the passion. But that does not give one license to be rude and spiteful with whom one disagrees. There is no question that anyone can say whatever is on their mind, but you can say it with civility and respect for others. That is what I am asking of all who read this post.
Amazing! Leanne simply posts information about getting a ticket to a Republican event and here come the rabid comments.
Look folks, let us all try to be civil in our discourse with one other. Is that too much to ask? I fully understand how passionate any of us can be, but please lay aside the vitriol. Rude, offensive remarks do not impress me in the least. You are more apt to persuade me with reason and logic than with emotional overeaction. Deal?
Kudos to our Leader! ha - thank you Leanne (although I can't be there. ) take lots of pictures!
Leanne,
Thanks for the info. One suggestion, can we get some in uniform to show and most important, how about some of the wounded warriors? See you there.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
