The media can’t even hide their disdain, much like Obama when he loses. Just check out the title. via TALLAHASSEE: Abortion, ‘anti-Shariah’ bills pass House, but fate uncertain in Senate – Florida – MiamiHerald.com.
House lawmakers also approved a measure that requires that Florida law trump foreign law in family law court. The bill, HB 351, would apply to all foreign laws, though critics say it is targeting Islamic law, called Shariah.
Supporters have yet to cite a case where the change in law is needed. Sponsor Rep. Larry Metz, R-Yalaha, has described the bill as a preventive measure.
The same bill passed the House last year but not the Senate.

Leanne,
I just read the text of the SB58 Bill and if I understood what I read I do not want this law passed. It appears to accept the application of foreign law on the citizens of Florida, but it goes on and on about creating exceptions for certain cases or situations in which the foreign law would not apply. I say why bother, just do not recognize the application of any foreign law in the state of Florida. If by some circumstance we should find a foreign law that actually provides better rights than Florida law we can always create our own law saying the same thing and make it our law. Why muddy the waters by including foreign code in our courts. I think I would join the opposition on this one.
If you read it and see it differently I am always open to being educated.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
