Florida is in the spotlight today. If Mitt Romney wins - the media and the GOP elite will confirm his "right" to the Republican Presidential Nomination. They will claim Florida as the win and the rest of the states whose voice has not been heard, be damned.
I've seen this before as a young 20 year old. I was not able to articulate it as well as Jeffrey Lord has done in this article. I hope you will read this BEFORE you go to the polls and vote today.
I still believe the American people are smarter than the establishment and will choose wisely the person they wish to be their President.
Go Vote...Be Wise

Palin targets Establishment GOP "cannibals" terrified of party's conservative base.
"Ford Declares Reagan Can't Win" -- Headline in The New York Times, March 1, 1980
Yet still more mush from the wimps.
To borrow a famous Reagan phrase: "Well, there they go again."
Somewhere an exasperated Gipper is doubtless shaking his head.
The war between conservatives and the Republican Establishment -- and make no mistake, this is a war -- is on once more.
The people who brought the GOP losing candidates from Dewey to Dole are at it again.
Last week's assault on Newt Gingrich -- with various Romney supporters seriously and deceptively trying to tell unwitting voters that Gingrich was never really a real Reagan ally -- in reality has nothing to do with Newt Gingrich at all.

I know this is not PC, but one of the many troubling things to me about Romney is his involvement in the Mormon church. I respect the man for tithing his 10%, but I am unclear how important Mormonism is to Romney. I know he is a church leader. But this is a religion founded on golden tablets buried in the hills of New York state. Further, what are his views on women? there are differing views in the Mormon church, including polygamy in the fundamentalist sects of the church. If Romney ends up with the nomination, I want him to answer questions about his religion, but for now, his religion is one of the many reasons he will not get my vote in the primary.
Good for you Tracy and agree with your idea of what needs to come next :) should the "dear leader" be re-elected. My fear is if that happens, he will throw all pretense of abiding by the constitution as he has on several issues and of course, he is ever looking for ways to rule from the white house nix the congress! I suspect if the supreme court puts a knife through the heart of Obamacare, he will try to find a way around it.............I pray not, but I do not trust the man as as far as I could throw him!
Steve, I rejected the establishment this morning. My disappointment comes from the gut feeling that it may not matter. But whatever the outcome I will try and make the best of it.Thats pretty much all I can do.If we can't change the outcome of the nominee we need to focus all our efforts on regaining senate seats and putting OUR people in those seats, instead of RINO'S and democrats.Mitigate the damage in case Dear leader is reelected.
Steven, you are right. We have been trusting a group of people to do the right thing when we elected them, and many of them were not worthy of that trust. It will be a while before we clean house, and anyone who thinks it will happen in one or two elections needs to rethink that position. I think it will take far longer than that, and we all need to be in for the long haul. That will take concensus and plan of action. Everyone should be involved, and we need to protect those we have already gotten into Washington like Allen West (who is being desposed of his seat via redistricting done by the establishment in Tallahassee..............a travesty). We can't move ahead 3 steps and have the establishment move us back 5 steps at their next opportunity!
Teddy Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover, Wendell Wilkie, Thomas Dewey, Eisenhower, Nixon, Bush I, Bush II, Mc Cain and Romney.
Vote Libertarian.
Exactly Steve, that is what I have been trying to say. We maybe in the process of stopping this bus ride in the fast lane on the highway to hell, but we aren't there yet and before we can turn it around we have to slow it down and come to a complete stop.
I have been trying to explain that we just do not have suffient numbers yet. We are gaining momentum but we have not yet reached critical mass and If we fall for the establishments candidate again and let them establish their control over us again maybe we never will reach critical mass.
Ron Paul may or may not be the one and only true constitutional conservative on the ballot, that is a matter of opinion, but given our limited numbers currently I do not believe that he has a chance at getting elected, which limits our choice to being between the two that can. The establishments candidate or one of our own.
Phyl, you certainly have every right to believe what you have said, but I also have the right to disagee with you. I am not a huge fan of Dr. Paul, but any one of the folks running on the republican ticket would be an improvement over the current resident in the whitehouse including Dr Paul. But that is my opinion.

To expect great changes in one or two elections is expecting too much I think. We the people have been sleeping for years. In 2009 almost 2 million marched in DC (should have been 10 million) and midterms sent a great message to DC. We are hated by the establishment so what did you expect? Now the same establishment prefers one person over the rest. If all you knew was that fact then why would you let them make the choice? I do agree any good that was achieved in 2010 could be diminished by choosing the establishment choice. Its seems to me the Republican establishment fears the Tea Party the most? No one man/woman is perfect however to change DC you need to reject the establishment.
John, if your waiting for the perfect candidate I hate to tell you buddy but your gonna have a long wait ahead of you. There isn't now, nor has there ever been a perfect candidate.
If there was a perfect candidate he would be the clear choice without a doubt and we wouldn't need to even be having a debate about it. And I am sorry to have to be the one to tell you but Ron Paul is not going to get the nomination, reality is what it is, the choice we have left is between Romney and Newt. So take your pick if it makes a difference to you. If it doesn't really matter to you then by all means feel free to waste your vote on a candidate that has no chance of winning and make it a meaningless stand on principle.
Then again maybe it is all meaningless because as I have stated before I am not sure that Romney can win even if he gets the nomination. The groundwork for Obama's campaign against him has already been laid down with the creation of the OWS movement. The anti-Romney/Wallstreet wheels are already geared up and moving.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
