Florida is in the spotlight today.  If Mitt Romney wins - the media and the GOP elite will confirm his "right" to the Republican Presidential Nomination.  They will claim Florida as the win and the rest of the states whose voice has not been heard, be damned.

I've seen this before as a young 20 year old.  I was not able to articulate it as well as Jeffrey Lord has done in this article.  I hope you will read this BEFORE you go to the polls and vote today.

I still believe the American people are smarter than the establishment and will choose wisely the person they wish to be their President.

Go Vote...Be Wise

Newt Battles Mush From the Wimps

Palin targets Establishment GOP "cannibals" terrified of party's conservative base.

"Ford Declares Reagan Can't Win" -- Headline in The New York Times, March 1, 1980

Yet still more mush from the wimps.

To borrow a famous Reagan phrase: "Well, there they go again."

Somewhere an exasperated Gipper is doubtless shaking his head.

The war between conservatives and the Republican Establishment -- and make no mistake, this is a war -- is on once more.

The people who brought the GOP losing candidates from Dewey to Dole are at it again.

Last week's assault on Newt Gingrich -- with various Romney supporters seriously and deceptively trying to tell unwitting voters that Gingrich was never really a real Reagan ally -- in reality has nothing to do with Newt Gingrich at all.

Bill, I would highly recommend you focus on your own beliefs.  You don't know a thing about me, what I stand for or what I do or have done and neither for that matter do several others on here.  If someone doesn't support your stand, then, you want to make them look like dodos who don't know anything and don't do their homework like you do.  As far as you are concerned, if we don't agree with you, then we don't know anything, and many of the folks, who still come on here, now that Paulbots have taken over the website are the same.  They are all trying to make sense of this, they are following the news and trying to figure out what they want to do!

Bill, I am not a Romney supporter.  I simply said he won Florida and we all must accept that.  I just posted something that scare me to death about Romney, but I move forward not backwards nor do I keep holding on to a lost cause.  We must not elect Romney as president if the following is HIS plan.  You see, unlike others, Mr. Romney isn't giving us specifics about his plan and many are more concerned with other things right now, to be looking at what he believes and plans.  Take a look at this video taken down in Panama City, Florida and then, you can go back to trying to get everyone to support the fellow that took 7% of the vote in Florida.

Why do we care? Why do I fight because as I hold my grandchildren I think of how wonderful life for me has been. I fight to insure their future because they will never know the meaning of living free as I have. Pondering how a conservative southern state  could vote for a Mass governor doesn't make sense .But then is Florida a southern state with conservative views well have you heard the saying the further south you go the further North you are. Bingo we are simply in a minority expecting transplants from liberal states to be like us. LOL I have roots in Mass and I am as far away in views as earth to the sun. Do i hate the Northern states no I just don't agree this is why I have lived in Florida for so long. I think it is funny how people come to Florida for sun and low taxes only to vote for people who raise taxes. So much for when in Rome do a s the ROMANS DO. By the way sources do they matter? So many lies go unchecked anyway. Look at Obama sometimes its just better to go with good ole common sense.  To me Newt was our best chance while I can pick him apart on somethings I believe he truly had a conversion. Call me crazy if you will but when he speaks conservative values more freely, while Rick also conveys strong moral values my common sense says its not his time. OK the next best thing I will not vote for any one who shoes Romney - Connie Mack or Pam Bondi that will be my common sense test.

Sorry Patricia, but Roma and Tom are absolutely correct.  The obviousness of the Globalist beliefs of Gingrich, Romney and Santorum is readily available.  It appears as though you have not looked for or found any information regarding their "business as usual in DC" beliefs because you get or hear and read nothing except the Main Stream Media's "One World View" and their clips and sound bites.   You have locked yourself in a one dimensional world of TV Talking Head catch phrases.   You are another Republican who just want to vote for a "winner", and said "to hell with ideals such as Liberty and a  Return to Constitutional Law".  Most people with that philosophy are just waiting for the Big Media to tell them who their candidate will be.  OK, that time is here.  The Mainstream Media has anointed Romney, so now, he's your guy, and you WILL vote for him because he has been selected for you.  You believe "better Romney than Obama".... which is false.  One is NOT better than the other.... maybe some day that will become clear to you.  They are literally on the SAME TEAM, just as your George Bush is on the SAME TEAM as Obama.  Did you see any policy changes when the EVIL OBAMA took office from Little Georgie?  Of course not, very little.... that's because Obama is just a continuation of the Globalist One World Government cabal that has taken our country over FROM WITHIN, literally.  They have managed to keep it that way now by tricking Tea Party and "Conservatives" into believing the lies of Gingrich and Santorum... the lie that there IS a difference, when there is NONE.  And so it goes.  Go ahead and switch your yard sign to ROMNEY 2012 and you can vote for a "winner", but your country has been dealt another severe blow.  As for me, I know there is still hope.  It' ain't over 'til it's over.  Ron Paul just told Romney: "I'll see YOU in the Caucus States!".  The election is OVER for you.  You are now a ROMNEY supporter (Ha! Ha!).  Not me!  RON PAUL 2012!

Comment by Patricia M. McBride on February 1, 2012 at 7:54am

At one point, Roma, I had to write an argument paper for someone on a subject that I didn't agree with (everyone in the class did).  He asked that no one come back and say they couldn't find anything, because there was no stand or subject where you couldn't find something to support it.  You have an opinion, and you go looking for something to prove you are correct.  It is hard to do, because it is not an opinion that is widely held.  That is what you are doing.  I am not picking a fight with you, I am simply saying Romney won Florida, and we must accept that, and that is a fact.

Comment by Patricia M. McBride on February 1, 2012 at 7:28am

Roma, you are beating a dead horse.  The reason you have to search and seach for this stuff is there is very little out there to support your theories, and I suspect the folks who put them together could also be Ron Paul supporters.  I know it is hard to accept, but Ron Paul is not going to win the election and he knows it and has said so.  He is staying on, because he will effect the stance of others and move them towards the right.  He only got 7% of the vote in Florida and even Santorum got twice that.   Even though conservatives took 52.3% of the actual vote which exceeds the Romney vote, Romney won fair and square.

Comment by Fred Gottshalk on February 1, 2012 at 5:28am

The race was much closer in Duval, than many other counties.  Plus, Santorum pulled votes up to 28% in some counties, which means Romney and Gingriche's totals were much less, and closer to Santorum's.

They did not beat Santorum by much.  I know we like to think that FL is all there is, but let me tell this, THERE ARE STILL 46 STATES TO GO.

Debbie, thanks for the facts.  There were two races going on 2008, vs one in 2012.

Comment by Debbie G on February 1, 2012 at 5:26am

The two elections cannot be juxtaposed in all fairness; in 2008 both democrats and republicans participated voting; whereas 2012 there were only republicans.

I am not intimating anything with regard to party numbers, but rather trying to clear up "red herring" data that serves to obfuscate the truth.

Debbie, I was referring to Florida in general. Though the turnout in Duval reflects the state in general, smaller turnout. If you are saying that fewer registered Republicans is a good thing, I don't understand? And Romney won Duval. Ugh.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
