My letter to Senator Bill Nelson:

Dear Senator Nelson;

Sunday night, the U.S. House of Representatives abandoned the Constitution, made a mockery of the words of the Founders, and drew a line in the sand as it passed the Senate’s health care bill 219-212.

I will never give up on our nations founding father's principles. These principles don’t include forcing your neighbor to buy whatever good or service you think they should have under penalty of IRS action. Principles that reaffirm the fundamental right of each American to live their life and pursue their dreams without constant government interference.

I am watching and will do everything in my power to hold you accountable for your vote and to make sure more of your constituents know that you believe they should either carry government-approved insurance or answer to the IRS.

I am working this morning (some of us have to do that, you know, to support those who won't) and when done this afternoon will put in a call to Mr. McCollum. We also need to emphasize to Mr. McCollum that a strong stand on this now will only help his run for governor this year.

I contacted the AG's office this morning. Thank you for all you are doing. It was a very emotional evening as I watched this country make that left turn. I also watched John Boehner's impassioned speech and immediately sent him a thank you message on Facebook. After watching ding dong give his thousand speech on why this is such a good thing for American, I am convinced that the man is a megalomaniac. As for Pelosi, she is delusional. A very scary thing that is happening to this country. I was born in Cuba. When I was 9 years old, my parents sent me and my two oldest sisters (12 & 15) to this great country via the Pedro Pan children's program. All to avoid their children live under a socialist and communist dictator. It took 3 long years to be reunited. I will NEVER forget this selfless act. Over 14,000 kids came to the US in this exodus.
I'm NOT saying that BO is another Castro but I will be damned if I'm going to sit by and watch this country become another socialist country with the government having more and more control over its citizens or the sure fact that their ways will bankrupt our children's and grandchildren future, almost ensuring that they will never fully experience the true exceptionalism that is this great country. So I vent on Facebook, have alienated some 'friends' and even some family but I owe it to my parent's sacrifice and to my concience to speak out and not be apathetic to what is happening to my country.

The Constitution has been corrupted and compromised. That, to me, is the real issue ... the Constitution ... and the fact that they ignored the will of the people. These traitors have insulted those men and women that fought, died and sacrificed all to protect and defend our rights. It would be better to vote for a mangy dog than to let a skunk stay in office. We must fight!!

Roosevelt said that December 7, 1941 was a day that will live in infamy. Well we outdid him yesterday because March 21, 2010 will be the last day that will live in infamy. Because what those left wing tyrants did yesterday will result in making our USA the USSA. We will very soon become a third world country. I can't wait for November.

@Valerie - this is why we MUST ALL CALL McCollum's office to make sure they press ahead with the law suit and we MUST ALL CALL our state reps and senators to make sure they push full 10th Amendment legislation. It is time we push back and bring the rogue central government back under control.
The Democrats declared war on America, now let them live with the consequences.

Listened to CSPAN last night after the vote and a caller, a lady, called in and said she had been a Democrat all her life but after this vote she will never vote for another Democrat again. Rush always says that liberals are their own worst enemy, that they always over-reach and therefore bring about their own demise. This is exactly what is happening to this crowd once again. They will be gone in November but the sad thing is wondering what kind of wake of destruction they are going to leave in their path.
