Government Lunch Programs, and Subsidized Parenting

from my blog at http://theatleeappeal.com/

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is set to install new rules for school meals in response to Michele Obama’s infamous child nutrition bill. Michele Obama has just dubbed herself mother of the public school children. The new federally subsidized meals will now be forced to have less salt, more whole grains, more fruits and vegetables, and my personal favorite – a cap on calories. So, not only do parents get subsidized to have kids in the form of child-tax credits (up to $1,000 per child), they barely have to feed them. Just make sure your kids know where the nearest school-bus stop is, and you can go about your merry way. They get free rides to school, they get free meals while at school, and then they get free rides back home and you didn’t even have to lift a finger as a parent!

This is my biggest problem with the whole scenario: The government has become the de facto parent for so many kids in the public school system. Not only that, those of us who actually take responsibility in our lives get to fund the negligence of these parents. Since when did it become my responsibility to pay for kids to get a ride to school? Why aren’t their parents taking them to class in the mornings before work? Since when did it become my responsibility to fund sex-education classes for elementary school students? Not only that, condoms are being distributed in elementary and high schools across the country. Who pays for the condoms? Taxpayers do. But most of all, when did it become my responsibility to make sure all of these kids were fed federally approved healthy meals? Remember Karl Marx’s 10th plank: Free education for all children in public schools. He knew that if you could create a sense of dependence at an early enough age, the precedent for his version of a Utopian society could be set.

So how do we slow down this tidal wave of dependence? Well, you can’t cure it. There will always be people who just don’t care, pump out kids like it’s going out of style, and then let someone else take care of it. For one, eliminate the child tax credit. There should not be a financial incentive to having a kid. Two: allow school meals, but roll back the subsidies. Force parents to take responsibility for their kids by forcing them to either A) give them money for school meals, or B) make meals for their kids (the unthinkable). The USA Today, AP, and numerous other news sources recently have claimed that we have the highest amount of families on food stamps today than ever before. You can bet your bottom dollar that many of these same families have their kids eating the subsidized meals in school. In effect, we have families with almost zero financial liabilities when it comes to feeding themselves. We can only hope that the newly elected Republicans in the House will start this nations much needed turn away from government dependence and back to self-reliance.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
