The Florida Times-Union is looking for people who might be losing land, or their home, because of the Florida Department of Transportation’s plan to replace two miles of elevated Interstate 95 south of the Fuller Warren Bridge.
State officials are referring to this elevated portion of Interstate 95 as the Overland Bridge.
In the last few weeks state officials have sent out about 90 notices informing landowners in this area that their parcels might be taken via eminent domain when construction begins in 2012 or 2013.
The Times-Union is looking for these landowners as part of a story on the state’s construction plans on Interstate 95.
Anyone who has received a notice from the state is asked to call Times-Union reporter Larry Hannan at (904) 359-4470 or e-mail him at larry.hannan@jacksonville.com.
