Thanks to all of you First Coast Tea Party members for your support and most of all your prayers.

The first day when Billie posted his story Jonathan was so excited that things were finally going to change, then he was concerned. He called me back and wanted to know what would happen to him if too much money accumulated.

As of this morning your support has now raised $4,210.00 since the day the account was opened. That is a great start. Jonathan needs $13,500, to get the first of several surgeries scheduled. A healing period of four months is required afterward before the next step of what will be an 18-24 month course of reconstruction begins.

Your prayers on behalf of Jonathan are being answered.  Jonathan has become excited about life again. His hope has been renewed. The associate at the Wounded Warrior Project has finally found time to work with Jonathan to assist him in acquiring access to his VA benefits.

So here is where we stand today:

It has taken years and an untold cost of pain, suffering and frustration since the VA made their mistake back on October 30, 2007. The VA has indicated it may still take several months before all of the approvals and procedures can be completed so that Jonathan can have the first surgery. The doctors think it is not in his best interest to wait another four months. Pray that the VA will agree and allow him to go outside the system for treatment. Jonathan is ready to proceed as soon as the funds are available.

You would think that of the hundreds of non-profit organizations which spend millions of dollars sending out name labels to raise funds "designed to help our veterans" at least one of them would have been able to solve what WWP calls a "clear and flagrant violation of the veterans rights". Most of those organizations or just slightly better than the RINO's who send me 15 requests for money every week, at least they include usable patriotic name stamps. I have quite a collection on my desk.

The real issue is having many people supporting and helping with a veterans needs.

The answer to Jonathan’s question turned out to be the most significant thing to happen last week. For needs like Jonathan's own too those presented on the Opera show and in the USA Today this week, Jonathan would be an excellent spokes person. This would be a natural progression of events and could have the most long lasting impact on his life. Pray for God’s will to be done in Jonathan’s life.
