Running with Scissors - Presidential Debates

I was working on my calendar for the rest of the year and had highlighted an announcement about another Presidential Debate.  I had not read it until last night.  See it here:  http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/the-buzz-florida-politics/content/tim...

As I read who was sponsoring it, cold chills went down my spine.  Maybe it was the Halloween decorations freshly put on the kitchen table?  Or was it a chill from the open window in the den?  No – it was imagining this debate and the commentators afterwards.
Can you imagine the St. Pete Times in charge of this?  Can we say – not friendly territory for conservatives?

The debate will be broadcast nationally on MSNBC – head spinning time!  I can see the talking pumpkin heads now — Maddow, O'Donnell, Schultz and Sharpton!

I am amazed that the Presidential candidates will subject themselves to this torture.  They will be ridiculed, embarrassed and made to look like fools right before the primary in Florida.  They will give a pass to the one they want to win the GOP nomination -- who will help Obama win!  That will be the one they support – wait and see!

I'm reminded of my children being young and naïve - "Stop running with those scissors!"  --  They didn't think anything bad could happen to them.

To the Presidential Candidates:  Be afraid, be very afraid.  This could be your "running with scissors" debate.  There is no way any of you will come out of this one unscathed.

I have previously thought that Mr. Cain wasn't serious. But I may have been hasty. He proposes ending Social Security and Medicare and turning it over to states, cities, churches, charities, etc. I am surprised that no one is talking about this part of his strategy.
Here is his position from his website:
The federal government has imposed expensive and often counter-productive social and welfare programs on the states and the people. It is time to admit the mistakes, and get the federal government out of the way. This will allow states, cities, churches, charities and businesses to offer a helping hand instead of a handout where they live. People closest to the problems are the best ones to solve the problems effectively.

Remember, Not One Of The Candidates Can Be Held Accountable For Not Doing, Or Doing The Opposite For What They "Pledge" TO DO.  THEY ALL LIE.  GOVERNEMT IS ALL ABOUT CONTROL.  The candidates LIKE the tax code.  They will not do away or repeal the 16th Amendment.  OBAMA did not lie.  He told us exactly what he was going to do.  People in a "democracy" get the government they deserve

I like Milton Friedman, am a fan of his, he believe in the Free Market and Capitalism, the foundation of our country and so does Herman Cain from what i have heard and read. His tax plan, is to usher in the FAIR TAX, many bills must be repealed and changed so that there is only one revenue stream, you know the history of what Congress did to Reagan on not going through with their promise to him to cut $3 for ever dollar spent.

Here is the Cain plan:   http://www.hermancain.com/999plan

His plan does not add more taxes but replaces the tax system in place period and ushers in the FAIR TAX from my understanding.

I will have to hear more but i do believe Cain to be very sincere and honest.

Still vetting here, still wide open... Thanks for all of your input and candor.

Personally i am more hopeful about this campaign because the American people are not letting the press/media choose for them, they are fed up with the PC-BS and lies, period.

i think more surprises are ahead.

Great comments Ken.

All i stated was:

Ken, i do not know where you arrive at your conclusions. I personally am still vetting ALL the candidates, the press/media has settled on Romney. You can make up your own mind, i just see many people putting out information here and making comments of what they like to hear. I do not see a gist to anything, just people sharing information and comments.

**************

I am still openly vetting ALL GOP candidates and i really think there may be a surprise or two. Although i do not think you could even equate his plan with the Obama 'CASH FOR CLUNKERS', you bring up some great points that all need to be addressed. Thanks.

Amanda, stating he is not your guy is one thing but promoting lies and false information is another. Personally I do not care about who you support or not but I do have a problem with links like you presented as your 'truth' 'proof' when any person can look at all the supportive articles, read them, and look at the links and read thru the lies. Then look at the ownership of the site and his verification for facts and the truth. His site is for slandering Presidential candidates, did you read that?

If you rely on sites like the one below for facts and truth, then i truly feel sorry for you being so ill informed. Just my opinion.

Look all i Ever said was that he isn't my kind of guy. I value integrity, honor, committment, fidelity very highly. I think Newt is very bright and knowledgeable. I just think he lacks in the other parts of his life and that lacking istoo much for me.

WOW, Amanda, you have lead us all to the 20 years of Progressive Liberal Democratic bashing of Newt Gingrich, tell me do you have the url exposing others great sins?

Read all the particulars and go look at the owner of this site.

Not impressed Amanda.

Didn't your parents ever warn you NOT to run with scissors?

Interesting to note that in the 60s Cain was finishing HS, graduated Morehouse College in 1967 with BA in mathematics, graduate studies at Purdue, received a Masters in computer science in 1971 while working full-time in ballistics for the US Navy.

I guess he had a lot of spare time there... How did he avoid military service? He served as a civil employee with the navy. Probably did a lot more for our country than Kerry... certainly a considering the great damage that man has done thru 'serving' in Congress for over 26 years now, since 1985.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
