The Mayor's Race: A City Divided

There is not a big win for either camp this morning.  The city is divided and the winner will come down to a few hundred votes.

There will be accusations and yelling in a room filled with lawyers.  The Supervisor of Elections office will once again be thrown into the mix of political warfare as they look at every ballot cast.

The 30+% of people who voted will wait for the final count.

And behind the scenes, MoveOn.org and Organizing for America will be preparing their paid people to protest should it not go their way.

The Tiny Union will write stories about the land slide victory if their man wins.  They will write about the stolen election if ours does.

We’ve seen this before and nothing ever changes.  Nothing will ever change until the rest of Duval County wakes up and realizes because they didn’t vote, they will now be led by a handful of people – like them or not.

And let this be known…

If Mike Hogan wins, we will be thankful.

If Alvin Brown wins, we will not “throw ourselves behind him” because Mr. Brown chose to ignore the tea party members and chose to ignore the many questions posed to him about his background.  We will not go away and we will continue to ask the questions until they are answered.   The questions are too important to be ignored.

And…we will not rest until North Florida has a newspaper that investigates the stories and reports the facts.  The owners of the Tiny Union should be run out of town for not writing about the MoveOn.org and Organizing for America operatives AND for not doing a story on the questions posed to Mr. Brown.  They ignored these stories and for some reason, chose to denigrate Mike Hogan.

This is happening all over America and will continue to happen until new leadership takes hold in Washington.  The political machine from DC ran this race and no one can say it wasn't so.  We know it and they know we know it.  We have the proof even if the Tiny Union will not print it.

As the recount begins today, keep praying that David will beat Goliath.

God bless Jacksonville and God bless America.

I noticed Chanel 4 interviewed someone from Browns camp but no one from Hogans camp. Seems they are as bad as the TU.

Great article Billie--but I for one have had it with the tactics from the left. I'm ready to start somehow to fight fire with fire. I'll be glad to put a hood on and get a bullhorn to go to the Democraps HQ and do a little protesting. Except I have to work during the day to try to support all those jerks.

Well written Billie and what all of us are thinking this morning.  The TU took part in this fraud to get someone elected who had no credentials at all to be mayor.  They never reported on anything about the man that would have made Brown look like what he is..........seriously flawed and not competent to run the city.  They made terrible and untrue statements about Mike Hogan and never one time pointed to anything that was positive.  They actually did the same thing they did with Obama and look where that has us!  Shame on the TU for using the local newspaper as a vehicle against one candidate and for their choice for mayor and not giving people the real facts about what was going on.

Like Billie said yesterday - life will go on. I hope this motivates us even more to activate by staying informed, adding friends to our Facebook list and getting involved at whatever level we can. Talk to your friends, family and neighbors and ask - Is this the hope and change you were looking for?

It's bad and scarey what happened here, but this IS going on all over the country, it has been going on all over the country, and the left will continue to use the same tactics, strategy, and the same model to get their candidates elected all around the country. They will expand their efforts in this way for the 2012 election. They have been using this model and modifying it, improving it and it is getting results for them. They are getting the formula down, and Obama will raise $1 billion for the 2012 election. They are extremely well organized, and our side needs to get equally organized and we need to make people aware of the challenges facing us, and inform people of the leftist agenda. A lot of people are still asleep.

With only 30+% voting, the virtual 50-50 split means that only 15+% will determine who the next mayor will be. So much for Jefferson's tenet that an educated and vigilant citizenry are vital to the health of the Republic!

Yeah, I am especially troubled by this potential loss because the TU will play it as a complete repudiation of the tea party while avoiding any commentary about how the race was won by a consortium of leftist national groups.  On a related matter, whoever decided running political ads based upon Hogan's grandchild lauding his virtues should be never given the chance to run a campaign again. We were shut out of effective commentary by the press and that had to be made up by on point political ads.  That string of attack ads run by left over the past week probably cost the election.  Lastly, to the RINO's who crossed over, there is a special place in Haddes for you.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
