Today is April 16th and what now, I wondered as I walked towards the kitchen to begin the morning routine. The Times Union was already open and these headlines caught my attention.
BROWN WINS OVER BIG GOP BACKER - the leader of the Jacksonville Civic Council - has personally endorsed Alvin Brown and is giving him $150,000. As I write this, I am still confused by this headline and more so by Mr. Rummell's decision. Mr. Rummell is endorsing a liberal who is also backed by the Obama machine from DC. Alvin Brown looks like a nice guy and I am sure he is. What we must worry about are his policy ideas and how he will spend our money. You can read an interview with Mr. Brown here where he talks about Obama and how important Jacksonville will be for the Democrats in 2012. http://www.blackamericaweb.com/?q=articles/news/moving_america_news... I guess we are beginning to see who the RINOs are in Jacksonville. RINOs are unprincipled people who are out to get something for themselves at the expense of the taxpayers. Mr. Rummell is an unprincipled person who is looking for a Mayor who will help him achieve his own personal agenda and not what is best for the city. We need to let Mr. Rummell know that his agenda will bankrupt this city and we need to help Mike Hogan win next month. Contact the campaign at: http://hoganformayor.com/mike-hogan-home.php Make sure you vote and tell your friends and neighbors to do so too or Obama and his machine will be behind the scenes running our city. May 17th is the day and Mike Hogan is our guy.
GOVERNOR SPEAKS OUT AT TEA PARTY RALLY - The article was fine until ... the statement: "an estimated 600 at the third annual Tax Day Tea Party Rally" -- and another statement "about 40 protestors". Now that's what we call "Unprincipled Journalism." Adding words such as "estimated" and "about" allows them to write whatever they want after those words. The numbers for the rally - as the Landing stated was at least 2,000 atattendees" and we saw maybe 10 protestors heckling the Governor. The TU embellished the numbers of hecklers and diminished the numbers of attendees! Shameful journalism. Up next will certainly be the endorsement of Alvin Brown for Mayor. Just you wait and see.
We have no idea who Mr. Brown really is. The First Coast Tea Party reached out to him time and time again and he refused to meet with us. He refused to participate in our Mayoral process or even fill out the questionnaire we sent to all candidates.
If he refuses to meet with tea party members during his campaign -- he certainly will not take our concerns under consideration when he is Mayor.
I started this blog asking "What now?" and I think the answer is clear. What now means -- getting to work to ensure Jacksonville will have a strong, principled leader as their Mayor and helping him get elected. We need to throw our support behind Mike for Mayor and behind those we endorsed on our website at http://www.fctpcommunity.org/page/2011-candidate-questionnaires
Are you ready? Will you do what you can? It's time to volunteer your talents and put money towards mailings and commercials and anything you can do to help would be appreciated.
Let's get to work and hire some principled leaders for our city. We'll worry about the media later - we have work to do!

Great Tea Party, as usual. Forget the TU. They gave up on journalism long ago.
The OathKeepers were proud to be part of this event.
Billie,
Thank you and all the FCTP volunteers for making this a memorable evening!
Did anyone find out what happened to Lloyd Marcus?
I thought Alvin Brown and the hecklers were an unwelcome intrusion. They were very rude!
It was great to see Gov. Scott and his talk was so positive! It was fun to laugh at the comedy, share strongly held beliefs, salute our military, and hear such speakers as Breitbart and Victoria.
Thank you again for all your efforts!
Well , I was there last night, and expected exactly what we got. The TU would not know a true patriot if he bit them in the back side. I know in my heart that we are on the path to greatness and we must never slack up, but put the pedal to the metal. First we must secure our city with Mike Hogan, Matt Schellenberg, and Dick Kravitz, then we must get rid of Bill Nelson.
Above all we must take back the Senate and the White House.
If we all do our part, work as a united front, we can move mountains.
God Blees America.

Billie, Thanks to you, all the volunteers, entertainers, and Gov. the Tea Party was a success and well attended. We must get to work to put Hogan in as our mayor and then the 2012 takeover. Our country is at stake!
That's great news about Mr. Rummell giving Alvin Brown $150,000 Maybe some of it will be spent in Jacksonville on newspaper ads, which will help a failing, liberal newspapers pay it's staff for a while longer.
The Rally last night was awesome !!! The organizers, volunteers and speakers did a great job.
Also, we are truly blessed to have Rick Scott as Governor.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
