Here is what happened in Brazil. It is rated as one of the least equitable tax systems among the G20 nations. And Texas still has property taxes.

Now you see the reason to get FairTax passed.  What you are referring to are part of the hidden taxes we pay in the marketplace now...that is what needs to be changed.  FairTax is a comprehensive plan that gets the economy back on track, while enriching the citizenry.  There are other steps to take, as well: Repeal the 17th Amendment (get the Senators held responsible by their States); Term limits (no career politicians); no pensions for elected officials; defund the UN (insure US sovereignty & retain moneys for US benefit only)...But, it starts with FairTax!

There is much more to business than net profit and market share; and there is all that and even much more than only the business dimension involved in governance. Principles than work well in a free market system are commendable, but the U.S. no longer is a free market system. Free market systems don't reward bad decisions with comprehensive industry bailouts.

It improves manufacturing via market forces.  Business people are not dummies...they recognize the power of competition.  This is how the US overshadowed all other countries in the world...it promoted invention, innovation to gain market share.  There are 2 aspects to business: 1) Net Profit & 2) Market share.  Without both, business fails.  When business fails, they lay off employees, &/or they move overseas.  The favorable tax climate of FairTax attracts business to take advantage of the employed citizens having more wealth (via the provisions I explained earlier); as that continues/grows, so does that business, enabling them to hire more people to fill the demand.  Not all elderly people are wealthy, it is usually those who were frugal, worked hard/ long hours & didn't succumb to 'instant gratification'...& here's something to consider: they were/are very generous to charities, their church, & others less fortunate...a spiritual lesson from the bible on how to maintain/increase wealth!  Rich people don't mind paying taxes, as long as it pays off by keeping a responsible govt in place...it is protection from the unscrupulous.  Where does it already work? State of Texas; Brazil (this is the most dramatic place...check it out!)

It cannot be tweaked, or it will not work...simple as that!  I would advise all who pay attention to get off the 'class-envy' crap coming from the left...it is a distraction to empower govt over your life.  You have the power to become wealthy...study, work & use it...it takes imagination, risk, & determination...I assume you are neither lazy nor stupid.  Keep your eyes on the prize!

Edgaryou fail to answer my questions. Show me why this improves manfacturing, and how it doesn't favor those older cits who already own "thing". Tell me how it doesn't deincentivize new purchases. Fair tax is anti-growth promoted by rich people who want to opt out of paying taxes. Where does it work alreadym

Sure, now!  When the going gets tough, the tough get going.  What are you doing to be part of the solution?  It takes numbers, so anyone not including themselves in the numbers is part of the problem, not part of the solution.  What you've given me so far, is the paralysis of analysis...I  know you can do better than that!  Make a muscle!  It's your money, too!

Ask & you shall receive.  But you have to be specific!  There is only one plan that espouses removal of IRS...and that is FairTax.  But it goes further than that...there is built-in, a method by which you improve your lot.  Flat tax proposals are varied (not a broad front); they don't remove the oppressive, anti-American IRS; the proposals are not either in the Senate or House; FairTax is HR-25 (House Ways/Means); S-122 (Senate)...we are on 1st base.  Tea Party is strong enough to push it through...we need to unite!  We will not be denied!  (How can I say that?  Do you not understand that the Dems & GOP alike are scared to death of Tea Party...why? because we are fed up with the incompetence & corruption of both parties...and we let it be known at Town Hall events, we write to Reps, we support candidates who agree with us, but mostly because we have huge numbers to bear on elections.  Keep making the point...it is not about tea...it is about (oppressive) taxation!  Thank you for being in the Tea Party...you are the answers to American prayers!  Now, get busy!

Herman Cain made an interesting point today: He said that there is no such thing as the middle class!  He claims that people are resigned to the Govt dole (poor); or aspiring to attain more wealth (rich).  I think it is interesting because he recognizes that all of that is not a fact of life...it is all a state of mind!  If you want FairTax (a means to overcome poverty; & create your own wealth) you work for it!  You attend the meetings, you write to your Reps, you spread the word to your family, neighbors, co-workers, & local businesses (they all benefit).  We are the people (citizenry) who hire our Reps to protect our freedom & our property...why should we keep voting for the fools holding us back, while they enjoy all the perks on our dime.  We need to make term limits the law of the land.  We also need to repeal the 17th Amendment, which makes Senators non-responsive to their respective States.  More? Defund the UN...it is an un-American entity which favors our enemies & undermines our sovereignty.  There was a presidential candidate who represented all that...Mike Huckabee!  (Too bad that not enough people were smart enough to vote for him).

Paul has either misused the word obviously, or he has the inappropriate tense.  The FairTax is set in stone...it has so much to offer for the citizenry, that all it takes is information/education.  To say that no legislation is ever approved ...should be changed to 'no legislation WAS ever approved...He is right about the power of public support.  And a sales tax without the repeal of the 16th Amendment will not be stood for.  The IRS is obtrusive, burdensome, & expensive...it is what the patriots of 1775 fought against to wrest freedom from England.  IRS is debtor's prison (you don't pay...guess where you go?)  IRS is taxation without representation (examine the recent abuses in that corrupt agency).  The Tea party is not about Tea, it's about (oppressive) taxation.  FairTax is revenue positive (means that more money comes to the treasury than under the current code, even after all the benefits are paid...prebates & soc sec payments, because of the broader tax base, & also via the streamlined feature of taxes being collected by the individual states & turned in monthly, minus a reasonable collection fee due to the states for accepting that responsibility.'  If you are critical of the system because you don't like it, that's one thing; but if you fully realize the necessity of it...do something about it!  Attend the monthly meetings, write to your Reps, get your local businesses involved.  Sitting on one's butt, complaining is part of the problem...not part of the solution.  Hey, it's your money!  (and your freedom).

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
