The Sons of Liberty: Still Brewing Tea

Okay I admit it. I took yesterday off and spent some time with my family. I stayed away from the computer and most of the news shows. I choked back tears for most of the day and then let loose. It felt great and cleansed my soul.

I’m not sure what was going on except maybe the overwhelming realization that we had been a part of something big – VERY big. We were a part of history. The best part of the history lesson will be this: “We were a part of history because we made history. We did not sit back and let the progressives have their way. We did not become victims. We became warriors and we won!”

The First Coast Tea Party was honored to be a part of this with each of you. You worked hard and you never gave up. Hard work and persistence are the two key needs for a win and boy did we have it multiplied by millions of Americans across this country.

We cannot and will not sit on our laurels. Although we want to get back to our families and our lives, we must continue to stay the course. Will you stay with us? Will you work with us? Will you share the tea party message with others? We hope so because there is still much to do.

A newsletter will be sent this weekend with a lot of New News. We’ll give you a heads up here:

1. A new City Governmental Affairs Team has been formed. We’ll be heavily involved in our city affairs from here on out. We saw our first commercial Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. (bad timing!) for someone running for Mayor. Let the games begin locally and we will play a part in educating our membership on the good, the bad and the ugly of local politics. We will be focusing on tax and spend city council initiatives too.

2. A State Governmental Affairs Team is being formed. We have a new Governor who has promised to bring jobs back to Florida and to cut waste in government. We have all new leadership in the state house too. We’ll be holding all of them accountable to their promises.

3. The Federal Governmental Affairs Team will be restructured. We spent a lot of time at the Federal level and we hope all the work we did was not in vain. We now plan to hold them accountable to the seats we gave them on a temporary basis.

4. We will form a School Board Liaison Team. We have not focused on this area and we know it needs our attention. In the last few days, we were stunned to hear that an employee of the School Board sent a disparaging email about the tea party while she was working and she used the school board email server to do so. You can check out the information at: http://www.news4jax.com/education/25636041/detail.html or http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/news-article.aspx?storyid=174680

This is just the tip of the iceberg. We also have Educational Monthly Forums to share with you. We have Monthly Neighborhood Community Groups you can get involved in – right in your own neighborhood. We have movie nights coming soon. A new website is coming. Our new membership program will be rolled out too.

After our forefathers dumped tea into Boston Harbor they celebrated and then readied for the bigger battle. We must do the same. The bigger battle is brewing and we can celebrate now as we prepare.

Thanks to Bob Honiker for sending us this clip. WOW – I’ll be singing it all day as we get ready for Phase 2 of the Tea Party Movement. Put on a cup of tea and join us in watching this really cool video. Then in the words of our new Governor, “Let’s get to work!’

With soooo many strong women leading the way (a certain Billie Tucker comes to mind),
Guess we'll have to do an update on this tune
"We are the Sons & Daughters of Liberty!"

Cynthia Jones-Humphrey is mislead by the lame stream media, rumors and gossip. I wish she would attend one of our meetings to see just how wrong she is. She would be very welcome. We might even get a new recovering democrat out of it!

AWESOME VIDEO!

Way to go Patriots! 2010 is now HISTORIC. Not since 1938 did we the people revolt so strongly. Now, let's all get a rest, then gear up our energy for the upcoming battles. The progressive agenda must go down in flames, permanently. On the national and local levels.
We did something even George Washington did not do. He lost all battles, but finally won the war. We won the first battle. Let's make sure we don't lose #2, 2012.
Many of the problems start at the local level. So while there is no national going on, let's help FCTP out on the local level. There is so much to be done yet, and we can do it. We just proved it.
Thank you so much Billie for all you do. God bless you.

Billy, you have stepped into a void and filled an amazing place in American History, right here in Jacksonville. No one but God himself could have prepared you on a daily basis or given you strength beyond your wildest expectations to get through this. We are extremely blessed that you held on (for dear life sometimes) as this all came to the head that it did on Tuesday. I know personally, that even when I voted, I felt it was the least I could do for all that you and others have done to keep this ship afloat. Well done, Dear Patriot, well done! And the eternal thanks of all of us who supported you in whatever small way we could.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
