The vibrations traveled all the way to Jacksonville when quarterback Peyton Manning chose the Denver Broncos as his next team.
Almost immediately after reports surfaced that the Broncos would try to trade Tim Tebow, speculation arose that the Jaguars would be a natural fit. Bovada.com released betting odds that listed the Jaguars as the favorite to land the former Gators and Nease High quarterback.
The speculation was more tempered in Jacksonville. The Jaguars passed on Tebow during the 2010 NFL Draft, instead taking defensive tackle Tyson Alualu 10th overall. Their front office did not have interest in Tebow then, and indications are that they still do not have interest in him. So far, Jaguars owner Shahid Khan has taken a hands-off approach with the team’s football operations.
