The time has come to pick up the wreaths that were placed at the Jacksonville National Cemetery during the Wreaths Across America 2013 Remembrance program.
For those with pickup trucks and trailers please be at the cemetery by 9:00am. All others please arrive no earlier than 9:15am. This time split will allow those with trucks and trailers to maneuver freely to get into position for the wreath pick up. Wreaths will NOT be picked up until after informational briefing.
Our continuing thanks to John Arwood of Arwood Waste & Demolition for the donation of the cardboard recycling dumpster and the dumpsters to haul away the wreaths from this year’s program!
This year’s forecast is for clear with a morning low of 35 degrees. As with the wreath laying, clean up is a rain or shine event.
Remember to bring cheap gloves to handle the wreaths, sap is still running! If you have a strong wooden pole bring it, it will help remove a number of wreaths at one time and save your back!

URGENT REQUEST FOR ALL FCTP MEMBERS. The local USO organization is in desperate need of "Snack" items for the USO Center at Jacksonville International Airport. The FCTP has always been a supporter of the USO in providing snack items for our military men and women as they arrive home and depart for overseas duty. Most recently we learned that snack items were in short supply as a group of our brave men and women left for Afghanistan.
"Snack" items include Granola bars, crackers, cookies (Individually wrapped packages) The small individual servings of items like applesauce/fruit cups.
This is an urgent request as in my words "The cupboards are bare and when OUR military men and women leave the airport they do not know when their next meal will be or where it will be coming from."
I would request that we have donated items by no later than than January 24th.
In addition they are asking for support is providing Valentine's Day cards for the troops. Simply add a personal message and bring these with your donations.
You can bring your donations to the FCTP office during normal office hours (noted below) OR make a financial donation via the donate button here on the website. You can use your PayPal account OR we now accept credit card donations. Checks are welcomed if you can get them out immediately. Please note on your financial donation that it is for the USO. We will purchase items and ensure that they are taken to the USO.
I cannot thank you enough for your help in this effort
God Bless You and GOD BLESS OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN UNIFORM and may God Bless our America.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
